Good win - but probably not good enough to threaten in the Classic - I rate the run at 99

Agreed, Frodo, but to me he still looks immature and is likely to have a lot of scope for improvement so I wouldn’t discount his chances.

Never give up ride by Lerena on Cliff Hanger...maybe a bit lucky as Mayhew didn't seem to have his stick towards the end of the race, well didn't use it that's for sure.

Zeus? his dam throws stayers

I did write about Zeus granddam, before, Bacio, who traces its roots to a very good horse, Party Time. I think Sportingpost wrote an article about it recently.

Soft Falling Rain is by National Assembly but its dam, Gardeners Delight, did throw in a stayer Let It Rain also.

Anyway Muthi does know a lot abot crosses and matings. That is my ultimate goal. Others ask why I go generations down, I dont. I remember most "blue hen" mares or I have built up broodmares that I like off my head when I see their pedigree.

Edit: Should have wrote blue hen mares and their generations that followed as well as broodmares that I like and their generations that followed.
