I expected press releases after press releases...

There must be 1000's of people wanting to try out Kenilworth's Costa Coffee

u know what Bob. All this shows is the complete lack of leadership of any sort within SA horse racing.

Yes maybe mot many people wanna go racing but here is an opportunity to link racing with entertainment. People are desperate to get out and socialize.

Where is P where is 4 racing where is cape racing (whatever the shit that is ) where is GC where is the ever useless NHRA and the more useless RA.

They knew this announcement was coming, they should have had prepared press releases available. They should be having festivals week in week out.

My hope is that once everything collapses in a pile of crap as it is sure to do, Hollywood picks up the entire structure for pennies on the dollar and use their marketing prowess to drive racing forward. No in fighting no political bullshit. one entity for all regions with a few co opted industry leaders to guide them.

There are no spectators allowed at any sporting events.

My question is since when did an organisation that falls under the department of Agriculture stage a sporting event? Surely this is an agricultural show and spectators should be allowed?

So the 750 indoors and 2000 outdoors doesn't apply to racing?

Maybe putting on an event with the racing an "act" is a way around it

Least we would get a half normal Summer Cup and Queen's Plate

I think 750 inside the function halls and 2000 outside with food stalls would be regarded as a decent crowd on a SA raceday?

You guys have it all wrong. Not more than 100 people are allowed. That’s the max number to attend a funeral.

Contradictions abound - despite the max 750 indoors and 2,000 outdoors, only 100 people allowed at a funeral - so call it a wake, then it's not a funeral ? Still no crowds allowed at sporting events - and how racing can fall under Agriculture makes about as much sense as the idiotic allocation of race card numbers in KZN. I suspect the 750 and 2,000 limit is to have some semblance of normality at the political rallies - although not even the ANC adheres to that 'rule' - why have any rules at all if it can't be enforced. And yes already the prophets of doom are predicting the 4th wave - just bear in mind that they were 3 months late ito predicting the 3rd wave - I just take it as it comes - the only advice that I take to heart is the evidence that shows the advantages of being vaccinated - as such I am all for the 'vaccination certificate' that is being widely predicted - but unfortunately as we all know, the government can't organize a p-up in a brewery (for instance just refer to the e-toll debacle), so chances are they will bugger up the application of the 'vaccination certificate' as well
