Race 1 : Full House on the run to Debonair , who runs later in the afternoon should be too good for this field 22/10 to get some doubles going

Race 3: Captain Dizzy looks dangerous with a light weight and having won 1 from 1 at course , will be with this one to win again 5/1

Race (1)
The most likely horses to top the betting would be, Exceed Expectation and Full House, but they are relatively unexposed and this being a handicap could be worth opposing. Augusta Green could improve over this distance and being in receipt of 4.0kgs could be the value at 12/1.

Race (2)
Bound to be lots of speed in this race, going to row in with Masked Vigilante despite having a second run after a rest. Beaten by stable companion, Zapatillas, and soundly at that, in a Listed race last time, that was after a 5 month break in heavy going.

Race (3)
Fateful holding form and ran above his rating last time, and against stronger company. A repeat of that effort and he could win this.

Race (4)
Kwinta’s Light is returning from a second break, hopefully the trainer will shed some light for the reason. Just think Kwinta’s Light’s rating is high because she won by some distance as a juvenile and was heavily punished by the handicapper. This will be her first run in open company, oddly enough, none of the rivals she met last time out, have run in open company since, so it’s difficult trying to gauge the strength of that form. Fusillade on the other hand is racing fit, and will not be conceding too much weight to Kwinta’s Light, Fusillade the one to be with.

Race (5)
Lillybelle was an impressive winner on debut, albeit she bumped a moderate field. The manner in which she won would suggest she can make further improvement and the extra should not pose any problems. Off bottom weight, make her a runner here.

Race (6)
Never Ending Rain can reverse the placings with Debonair with the 1.5kg swing at the weights, for a 0.50 length beating.

Race (7)
Miss Millstream and the other bottom weight, Aye Aye should give the heavier weighted horse a go here. Miss Millstream for me.

Race (8)
Amanzimtoti the one to be with.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Cool, overcast, should clear later. Light headwind. Course will be running fast.
race 1 An annoying maiden handicap which allows the possibility of a dog winning. Legitimise tops the weights and was very consistent before his winter break. At the weights Freedom Park can beat him. Full House was very disappointing last time but should go close if running to best form. Exceed Expectation good form and should be in the mix. Augusta Green and Do Si Do are well in and both have scope for improvement.
Race 2 Fighter below best in the wet last time, and if fit and well after his break must be respected with good draw and top jockey. Hard to separate the 3yos.
Race 3 Very open. At best, Skidoo has Mr Cobbs held. Captain Dizzy has not run well in the wet, but with the going on top could easily bounce back with a good draw and a paperweight.
Race 4 Another very competitive race. My short list is Fusillade, Gillian Anne, Kwinta's Light and Windsor Beat.
Race 5 A bunch of smart 3yos all have claims, and I think will beat the older girls here. I'm leaning towards the bottom weights.
race 6 I have Elusive Tango running in a very open race- he disappointed last time, and is probably better over 1400m and with softer going, but he has been working well and we live in hope. Debonair is still improving, but I think that Never Ending Rain should turn the tables this time. Han Solo ran very well after a very long absence. He could cause an upset if building on that run, but has a wide draw to contend with.
Race 7 So Flawless may prefer further, but ran a cracker last time, and is the one to beat on her close up run behind Hoedspruit. Aye Aye and Miss Millstream are the main dangers.
Race 8 Another tricky race with a quite few nice, improving 3yos taking on a couple of older hard knockers, but the draws are against Miss Smarty Pants and Rose Princess. My tentative pick is Queen of Shadows.

How does one get blocked for a run, not once, but twice, in a 7 horse field? Have a look at the ride on the favourite.
