Must say, (R6) Pacaya, is the best bet on the card, and too big a price right now (5/1), i'd be surprised if it jumps at the current price or bigger.

My thoughts on the card :-

Race (1)
Long White Cloud if not needing the run. Rhythm Of The Rain, the collateral form is not strong, 5 runners since, with three 4th place finishers. Look Homeward, watch the betting, wouldn’t have to be too smart to win this. The joker may well be Everglades despite the wide draw.

Race (2)
Whilst the race conditions favour the older horses, Bite My Lip and St Patrick’s Day, clearly neither is going to Hollywood. Just Power looks to be coming long the right way and the apprentice allowance should make her competitive.

Race (3)
Don Reposado ran a much improved race last time when fitted with a tongue tie. Could win this on firmer ground. Watch the betting on both Veldskoen and Hell Of A Duke.

Race (4)
Razzle Dazzle Em has been expensive to follow, so willing to take her on. Cio Cio San ran an improved race over the distance last time out, and with natural improvement should be competitive.

Race (5)
Senso Unico didn’t get the best break when the gates opened and appeared to race in snatches because of traffic around the turn. If getting away okay, make him the one to beat.

Race (6)
Pacaya was impressive when winning on debut over 1000m. Was slightly inconvenienced when the gates opened, waited for a gap before winning going away. Can’t see the extra 200m posing any issues. Fifth placed finisher, Silent Trigger, 3.80 lenghts behind, came out and franked the form next start. Will take some stopping off bottom weight, probably the best bet on the card, hard to believe it’s current price of 5/1, doubt that will last.

Race (7)
Crimson Princess took on stronger last time out and ran above her rating. A repeat of that effort could see her fighting this out.

Race (
Light Of Moon with the apprentice allowance must be a runner here. Chansonette may need the run. Versailles should finish in the first two.

We had just 11mm of rain on Sunday, yet the going is reported as good to soft, pen 25, whereas it was 21 on Saturday. With no irrigation I would have expected it to still be good, but perhaps it will be updated later today.
Race 1 Rhythm of Rain good debut and the one to beat but there are quite a few interesting first timers, as well as 3 ( Long White Cloud, Perfect Trust, Globall Goddess)that have shown ability and return from lengthy breaks. Queen Dido fair first run in KZN, and one would think would only have returned to CT if well regarded. Do Si Do below first run in the wet last two, but should now improve.
Race 2 A moderate field. Just Power has shown the most among the 3yos and Bite My Lip the better of the two older fillies. However, any of the lightly raced fillies could show improvement to score here
Race 3 Freedom Park and King Saladin are well tried and both capable of winning a maiden, but the 3yos can’t be ignored. Again some interesting first timers. Of the raced youngsters, Bon Boyage looks best.
Race 4 Razzle Dazzle Em has been costly to follow, but I think she will get it right today.
Galiekyobaby has useful form, and any of Different Drum, Field of Vision and Cio Cio San could win, with the last named the biggest danger.
Race 5 After the 3 scratchings, Master Redoute the one to beat, and the main dangers are One Day Or Day One and Master Striker.
Race 6 A very competitive race, my selection is Darjeeling to beat the two Snaith runners, but will add others in exotics.
Race 7 We have Grey Princess running in a competitive handicap. She has won two good races but the handicapper may have hit her a bit hard. Expecting a good run from the plum draw, and the bit of rain will help her cause. Sacha and Crimson Princess look the best of the rest but others also with chances.
Race 8 Kunming is well in at the weights if regaining her best form. I’ll be shouting for Versailles which must be a big runner here. Chansonette and Light of the Moon the other main dangers.

She is a Rainbow plenty confidence and support.

Wasn't the wisest decision to follow the market rival down the inside rail. Once van Niekerk did that, kinda knew we were in trouble because Star Master didn't quicken which would have allowed Pacaya to be pulled through as he was always traveling the better of the two. The only reason Star Master moved off the rail was because he tired and hung out - too late she cried.

He's always good for a brain freeze moment most meetings.

Durbs, that was a well judged ride by Domeyer, came wide turning into the straight, quickened when it mattered and won cosily.
