Nice money available for the connections in the 2 Sales races - time of the season means that it may be easy to earn a nice stake for a moderate horse - thought on the card :
R2: Meteoric has been busy - 4th run in a month, but of not going off the boil, will prove hard to beat; main danger should be Code Zero, while Moonshiningthrough could be anything
R3: Super Excited looks to have lots of potential and could easily follow up here; Super Agra may have more to do, while Successful Secret is running consistently and should be thereabouts again
R4: Silver Tycoon comes off a long break, but may be better than rated and if not needing the run desperately, should prove hard to beat; main danger imo is Sweet and Spicy; while I obviously have a soft spot for Freedom Seeker, this does seem a hard task for her at the weights
R5: Open handicap; Stone Cold is a winner this track and trip when beating the much vaunted Puerto Manzano - has dropped a few points in the ratings and could be the right one imo; War Jewel could be the surprise package at the weights if finding his form again - obviously has to improve on his last two efforts; none of Ballon d'Or, Rock of Africa and Nordic Rebel have won at this track, but can't be ignored, while Captain Hindsight needs to show that he gets the trip
R6: Supreme Quest obviously the best form, but probably has been up down to KZN, so Big Burn could make her run; hard to say which one of the de Kock runners are the better, so any or all of them could run in the first 4
R7: Not a lot between Bard of Avon, William Robertson, Team Gold and Gaudis Materpiece on their last meeting on July Day, so all 4 needs consideration imo
R8: Competitive handicap; Rouge Allure and Ululate have run well this track and trip, but this is open
R9: Another open handicap, Strada Statale has come down a lot in the ratings and is not one to ignore, but again not too many that can be safely ignored
Enjoy

Love James Goodman's dig at Sean Tarry ! Was reading Tarry's drivel on Sporting Post why he won't comment on his first timers. Better no comment than downright lie as per Grappler during the week. ' Will probably need the run' was his blatant fib. Horse was backed from 7/1 to 5/2 and didn't forget to win. So rather don't believe a word that Tarry says - rather use the betting as a guide !
