Can you now begin to see my point about Spurs for this season? Good football but no goalscorers. Selling your top strikers is going to cost you plenty this season. Bottom of the table and your worst start for 34 years. Villa should have won by at least 4 clear goals as they missed a few easy chances in the second half. Lose to Wigan at home this weekend and then you will be in big trouble.

Hey Mori...everyone's saying we've sold our top strikers which is true of course but we did not really have a choice did we?
I agree though that at the moment it looks as if we'll struggle there but I have to say that there are just too many positives to allow me to be too negative.
Both Lennon and Dos Santos should be able to score more than just a few for us and Jenas have been very impressive as a box-to-box player.
I'm a PERPETUAL optimist but I honestly believe that this Tottenham side will get a top six finish...in fact I think I lay some dough on it today...should get good odds.

Spurs league form since winning the Carling cup reads P16 W3 D6 L7. Zoro and Jamster you are wrong. I dont hate Spurs as the the North London Derby is a great occasion and it would be really sad if they did go down,..on the other hand if Man United went tits up well.....

I was pissing myself for most of the day todya listening to the Spurs fans. When Ramos was appointed manager it was all " only bad luck will stop us winning the premiership" and when they won the Micky Mouse Cup it was "bring on the Champions league" Today they all want Martin Jol back and Ramos sacked..how fickle are they.
Football fans are never ever satisfied with their clubs be it Real Madrid or Manchester United.

Harringay council have turned down Tottenhams new ground plans
they didn't mind the building but it was against bye laws to have
a circus in town every 2 weeks
whats the difference between Spurs and a toothpick ?
a toothpicks got 2 points
a kid go's into school 1st day and teacher makes him introduce himself to the class, then the teacher says what does your dad do Jonny,
kid replies he dances naked in a gay bar and gives men blow jobs for £10 a time to earn extra cash
teacher sends him straight to the headmaster who asks
why did you tell such awful lie's Jonny, and the kid says "well my dad plays for Tottenham really and that's way to embarrassing to admit"

Aww...applause to Hibs...really original m8!!!! no brownie points though.
Mori...the Spurs fans don't sound half as bad as the Newcastle fans but be that as it may.
Here in front of all forumers...stands a very proud Tottenham Hotspur supporter.
Am I concerned about our log position...sure as hell I am...who wants to be Atlas...holding up all the other teams...Do I think we'll stay in the lower regions...Hell No!!! We're much too good for that...however I take all the ribbing in good spirit...
Oh...I've put down the money for Spurs to get a top six finish...I thought the bookie taking my money was really friendly but after reading the last few posts he was pobably having a laugh at me!!!
Will be good to see his face when I collect at the end of the season...

Perpetual a few ex players were chatting last night discussing the Spurs situation.and putting together what they said it looks like a long hard season for Spurs. Problem with Spurs is that they play so well against the top sides and then sort of relax against the teams that they should be beating. Every team in the Premiership would grab your arm off if you said that they could have a draw at Chelsea which is exactly what Spurs did a couple of weeks ago.

I hear you you Mori...in truth...it's not surprising that we're having a rough time...Keane, Berbatov, Chimbonda, Tainio and Malbranque gone...they were core players for us last season...add Hutton out injured and a host of new players in.
If we had a hard man in the middle I'd be a lot more confident because we really do have some enterprising players in Woodgate, Modric, Dos Santos, Lennon and Bentley.I liked Pavlyuchenko's spirit against Villa and I think he'll make the grade in the Prem...Bent just a load of bull though and we'll have to play young Frazier Campbell with the Russian if we want to score goals.
As stated earlier my money's down and I don't belive it's blind optimism....

Why they sold those players you mentioned is beyond me. I am watching Arsenal against Kiev and what we are missing is strong OOPS penalty to Kiev
