Brandon Bailey has the talent and enthusiasm to be a good race caller.
The irritation is the ass-kissing / sucking up / brown nosing...............
You don’t have to praise the trainer, jockey, owners and connections in every third sentence after the horse has won a maiden at the Vaal.............. Cringeworthy.
Still believe he will improve and that young blood is good for the game.
The mute button on the remote is still one of the greatest inventions ever made.

I agree his enthusiasm can get the better of him, but he`s learning on the game...
I do like him, and Ali, maybe get Clyde to call as a freelancer and i'm sure Niko will be involved when 4Racing takes over... Bomb the Cape heavy breather
Craig Peters and Hawkins in KZN, Sheldon is cool until the final 100m metres
The young guy from gold circle that does a few magazine shows, and interviews should be used more (sorry name escapes me). Also the guy that was allowed to call a few auction lots recently, had a great voice and enthusiasm

I must say that Mr Graham Hawkins has the gift of the gab. He must have been a great commentator in his day.
I love how he gets straight to the point. How well did he do the July field and draw presentation!!!

I feel he is "plastic and arrogant", thank goodness I do not hear him anymore and enjoy Olly Bell, Rishi Persad, Matt Chapman, Jason Weaver and Francesca Cumani on a weekly basis. Top class team.

IMO the commentator should be impartial and not commentate from his tickets or for his mates. You should call the race for all punters, trainers and owners, not just the connections of the favourite.
After every race there will always be more unhappy people than happy people. Singing a song about the winner feels like an in your face insult for the losers especially in a close finish.
Enthusiasm is good, but we don't hear the same enthusiasm when a long suffering trainer or owner win with a long shot.
Well said. BB should keep it simple and call the race and stop sucking up to people,we all know they good for the game!!
He has a lot of very good attributes, enthusiasm is tops. Keep personal opinions out!
