It’s a long and winding road
3 years 11 months ago - 3 years 11 months ago
Good day to you all in very difficult times due to Covid.
I am sure we could never have imagined that this Virus would control the planet and our daily lives.
Not sure when we will be free from this disaster, if we will ever get the all clear?
It’s going to be a long and winding road to recovery.
Last week, I had a few health problems with high blood and high sugar, I am taking medication to bring down some hectic readings, plus Mrs S gives me cereal before my bacon rolls.
I also had my other vital organs checked and surprisingly enough Got The Green Light.
Was also given anti depressants but that related directly to the ANC and Humble Tune.
Sure we were all aware that the planet had to reduce the population but Covid was a cruel mechanism.
That young lass that is trying to save the planet, Greta Thunberg, can you imagine having her in the house as a kid? Sitting in your chair in the lounge, having a drink and a smoke, eating a big steak watching Tellytrack and her bending your ear.
I must be old fashioned but I can’t handle the way the world is heading with all these protests and politics.
One of the latest is asking 14 year old kids to make the choice if they want to be male, female or other?
Not sure where the gender neutral go when they need the toilet? Anyway good luck to them.
Getting back to Covid, we have a situation at the pub where the new owner is in hospital, the manager is isolating at home, so I have had to go and help with the administration in the mornings to keep the wheels turning.
We are only one week away from the July, had a look at the card and initially looks a nightmare pick 6, should be difficult to catch but certainly worth a share with a boost of carry over money.
As far as a banker, the obvious choice would be WOA but Captains Ransom and Princess Calla are stiff opposition.
Only other banker could be Desert Miracle?
As far as July, at this stage will stick to 5 horses GTGL, Linebacker, RAINBOW BRIDGE, Rascallion and Do it Again.
To try and get a kitty it might be worth taking a hottie treble this weekend with Mufasa, Mitch got his Wish at Turffontien and Marina in the Cape.
The football has been good and getting better and have taken 70/1 on Croatia.
Everything is basically in limbo at the moment as we try avoid Covid, at the same time try and keep the wheels in motion waiting for the “overdue” vaccine roll out .
Stay safe and thoughts and prayers to you and your loved ones 🙏
It’s going to be a long and winding road..
Good Punting.

The VDJ may not even happen next week. Too many street rumours of a hard lockdown next week.

Mac my understanding is that they can't damage the economy any further and the race will go ahead.
Crowds will be limited and drink sales reduced.
They will heavily clamp down on people breaking laws on masks, gathering, etc
Let's see as nothing can be predicted except excuses re: the vaccine roll out .
So study the card and
Good Punting

Dave you are spot on. It has been and will be for the foreseeable future a long and winding road.
Figures from yesterday 18700 odd and we are aware that they are not a true reflection.
We have all been touched by the sad loss of family, friends, acquaintances and others sad losses and hardships.
RIP Coenie.
I trust the VDJ will go ahead. I have a sweet double GTGL and the Netherlands.
To the Clan, stay safe!
