yes he did but fishing i think -

Thanks for the clarification, was a huge Minnie fan when he rode for Charles Laird and when he rode Drum Star, forget who the trainer was of that, but a smart horse.

Drum Star was one of my favorite horses at that time due to its dam Star Drums. Star Drums was the dam of Planetary Music, who won the Grade 1 Sharp Electronics. Drum Star started off with Roy Unsworth and finished off with Alexander. Could have been with De Kock as well for a couple of races. Unsworth might have retired hence the new stable as I can recall he also trained another brilliant filly at the time Raining Roses who ended up with Woodruff.

Correct, Roy Unsworth, thanks. His favourite saying was "softly, softly".

Planetary Music, was at Clairwood that day (10/1 sp and backed it), Johnny Gerodis rode it (i think), a start to finish victory, Tony Millard had the 5/2 favourite who's name escapes me.

Please note today’s race meeting at Turffontein was abandoned after the running of Race 3 due to a waterlogged track.

Heavy rain fell at the course after the running of Race 3 and following a track inspection a decision was taken to abandon the balance of the meeting (Races 4 to 8).

There will be a dividend paid on both the BiPot and Place Accumulator but the Pick 6 and both Jackpots will be refunded.

The BiPot paid out R16.50 after three legs and the Place Accumulator R5.30 after two legs.
