Stuart Randolph badly off form, hasn't had a winner this season, still looking for that winner after 63 rides.

Was still running in the PA but knew my fate early when Randolph replaced Marcus on Madame Patrice, but in saying that even my other two couldn't run in the money.

Anyone make any cash today?

I forgot what it feels like to win.

What i can say is that- I am starting to lose interest in the game.

Who remembers the days when you could actually read the race card, forget the computaform, the basic race card, and pick a straight line PA that didn't go out with the most fancied horse of the lot sitting three wide, or failing to raise a gallop. South African racing has become an actual lottery. You need to wait until 10 mins before each race to know if the horses you included in your exotics has a chance or not, and if not, throw your ticket, even virtually.

A memory that still stays with me is that of a Vaal race a few weeks back. With half hour to go the betting was 9/10 and 33/10 the top two, and 6/1 and larger the rest. With ten mins to go, the betting of said top two were 7/2 and 14, yes 14/1. Quickmix was already on by and away by then. I wonder if the betfair has anything to do with this new trend. Since that day I have curbed my spending on local racing. Don't fool yourself into thinking form is playing a part into what horse wins, it's all about fitness and intent now. Unfortunately for exotics, this makes it a complete lottery, and I don't like mindless games.
