The favourite in the 1st needs to be VERY special to win, IMHO.
Never run at Greyville, never tried the poly, never tried the distance, long layoff....

I make the Drier horse the one to beat.

Race 1 - Storybook would be helped with an ok start. Looks to have scope this surface to finish in the money.

HOLLYWOODBETS GREYVILLE 23/09/2020 SELECTIONS. FORMGUIDES, PERMUTATIONS BY ANDREW HARRISON

RACE 1: 2 TONIGHTSFIGHTNIGHT 1 COUP FOR LUTE 12 MACALLAN 7 GAZALA GALLOP

Preview: TONIGHTSFIGHTNIGHT (2) has improved in blinkers and has been close-up at his last two. From a good draw he should be right there again. COUP FOR LUTE (1) has been rested but did start favourite on debut. Marcus has been booked for the ride. MACALLAN (12) two best recent efforts have been on the poly. Drawn wide but should be right there if repeating his last effort. GAZALA GALLOP (7) raced green in a promising debut and should have improvement to come. (Andrew Harrison: 2-1-12-7).

RACE 2: 8 MAITLAND MAGIC 2 MASTER DANCER 12 PRECIOUS LOVE 10 CABINET SHUFFLE

Preview: MAITLAND MAGIC (8) has his first run for a new stable. He has shown steady Cape form and first time blinkers could make all the difference. MASTER DANCER (2) was a creditable second over course and distance last time out. He is lightly raced and a repeat effort should see him contest the finish. PRECIOUS LOVE (12) has shown up well in her two local starts and although drawn wide she should appreciate the extra two furlongs. CABINET SHUFFLE (10) and STRIAGHT SIX finished within a neck of each other on debut so there should not be much between them again. (Andrew Harrison: 8-2-12-10).

RACE 3: 7 GARLIN 10 SILVER FOX DOG 2 RED VISION 12 GLACIAL RUSH

Preview: Wide open. GARLIN (7) was a little disappointing when switching to the turf last run. His best recent effort has been on the poly and he appears to be improving. SILVER FOX DOG (10) made a promising debut at long odds and was not too far back second time out and that form has been franked. RED VISION (2) has found market support in both outings in blinkers. He may worth one more chance as he steps up to this distance for the first time. GLACIAL RUSH (12) is lightly raced but showed up well first run back from a lengthy break and has a chance on that showing. CARDBOARD COWBOY and JUST DIXIT (6) are others to consider. (Andrew Harrison: 7-10-2-12).

RACE 4: 5 QUEEN’S PLAIN 12 POPOVA 4 CLARA 2 MASTERS BEAUTY

Preview: QUEEN’S PLAIN (5) took a little time to score her second win but was only given a 3-point penalty for that effort and can go in again. POPOVA (12) has been confined to the shorter distances but her pedigree suggests that this trip should be well within her compass. CLARA (4) finished three lengths off Queen’s Plain last time out but sports blinkers for the first time and can get closer. MASTERS BEAUTY (2) is seldom too far back and can place. (Andrew Harrison: 5-12-4-2).

RACE 5: 6 STAR VEGA 2 JACK’S BIRD 1 SONG OF THE FOREST 9 MARSANNE

Preview: STAR VEGA (6) was given the classic preparation leading into her recent win. She is lightly raced but appears to have come into her own now and can follow up. JACK’S BIRD (2) has some useful form in good company. He last sprint was way too short and from a good draw over a preferred trip she should be competitive. SONG OF THE FOREST (1) has been knocking at the door for her new stable and has a light weight from a good draw. MARSANNE (9) steps up to this trip for the first time. She has been dropping steadily in the ratings and goes well on the poly. (Andrew Harrison: 6-2-1-9).

RACE 6: 5 CANDY GALORE 9 HOPSKIPANDJUMP 6 DIVE CAPTAIN 1 LINEAR

Preview: CANDY GALORE (5) takes to the poly for the first time but is quick and the surface should suit. HOPSKIPANDJUMP (9) goes for her fourth straight win which will not be easy. She took a hefty 8-pound hit in the handicap after her last win but with claiming apprentice Jabu Jacobs claiming 2.5kg she still has a light weight. DIVE CAPTAIN (6) was well beaten by Hopskipandjump when last they met and is better off at the weights. However, that may not be enough to turn the tables. LINEAR (1) is not the easiest but is very capable on her day and from a good draw would not be a surprise winner. (Andrew Harrison: 5-9-6-1).

RACE 7: 6 DOUBLE RAINBOW 8 MASHARI 10 UNCLE CHARLIE 2 GREATTOBECAPTAIN

Preview: DOUBLE RAINBOW (6) surprised on debut winning at long odds. He meets a modest field here and seems sure to come on from that win. MASHARI (8) has been taking on stronger at recent outings and was not far behind the useful looking Captain Oupie last time out. UNCLE CHARLIE (10) has been trying further but found good market support last start. He could prove better over this trip. GREATTOBECAPTAIN (2) has been consistent since being fitted with blinkers. He has a light weight and a good draw in his favour. (Andrew Harrison: 6-8-10-2).

RACE 8: 5 RETAIL THERAPY 11 FLASHY KAITRINA 7 SOMEWHERE IN TIME 3 SILVER DAZZLE

Preview: RETAIL THERAPY (5) has been holding form since her maiden win and goes well over course and distance. FLASHY KAITRINA (11) has a difficult draw to contend with but has been in cracking form with cheek pieces and is a must for all exotics. SOMEWHEREINTIME (7) has been battling to get it together but had the worst of the draw last run and was never in the hunt. She takes a further drop in the handicap which should see her more competitive. SILVER DAZZLE (3) is lightly raced and has been racing over further. However, the blinkers go on which often makes a difference with older runners. (Andrew Harrison: 5-11-7-3).

You got to love it when the connections are up for a punt and trainer forgets to teach the horse how to jump.
