An interesting card with big fields again here's hoping we make some money

I think Fort Love is a big runner and will continue the Habib /maroun good form.
Kurt's approval was thrown in the deep end against Hawaam with a merit rating then of 65, ran last as expected now running of a 66 dropped a point from 67 and ran behind Category four who came out n won again on Sunday could be the right race this time.
Soft spot for Ponchielli backed it last year at 50/1 but Botes stable terribly out of form similar Robbie sage stable Aflame could win Race 5 but throw in Bat orchid at a big price.

Also fancy pearl of Siberia and Alex the great

Race 1 Candice dawson should continue her good form with Showdown kid but her stable companion love of London is worth a mention

Race 2 phindi Mzala all the rage but as in race 1 watch the stable companion Victronic

Race 3 exs n ohs

Good luck all happy punting and sorry for the rambling

Race 3 - 7 Java House, 6 Ex's 'n Oh's
Race 4 - 9 Windy Flight, 10 Alex The Great
Race 7 - 11 Sammi Moosa, 12 Seeking Gold, 9 Kurt's Approval
Race 8 - 16 Short Skirt Flirt, 6 Charmz Luck, 10 Picadilly Square

All the best to all Clanners for today...stay safe and healthy...big fields in the last 2 races hence added an additional horse...tough... :(

Spring Day - well hopefully somewhere in the Southern Hemisphere - but even the weather now seems to be not playing ball in good old SA - well at least we still have racing today - if they can manage to duck the load shedding

Competitive card - thoughts ...

R1: Showdown Kid has found market support - but not the strongest form imo - so one of the first-timers could easily
be good enough

R2: Phinda Mzala looks hard to be at on form - the de Kock debutante will need to be quite good to beat him

R3: Looks a competitive handicap, but on her run behind Anything Goes, I think Java House will win

R4: Inconsistent lot - Precious Stone has to be first choice, but any of Pearl of Siberia, Windy Flight and even our old favorite Alex the Great can win this if they suddenly found their best form

R5: Maiden Handicap; nothing between Aflame and Charming Lass, while the bottom weights like Corsage, Bat Orchid and even Venus Flytrap could feature

R6: Another Maiden Handicap; got to fancy Fort Love at the weights and on his last run; Tricky Business and Soldier's Song the obvious dangers; as per the betting, I think Zuluonmystoep and Custom Made the others to consider

R7: Bit of a nightmare - won't be leaving out Fifth of July even from that draw

R8: Another open handicap; Charmz Luck tries blinkers and over this distance from a good draw, represents the value imo; obviously quite a few others like Curvation, Kimberley Green, Piccadilly Square and Pretty Jolly can't be ignored

Enjoy B)

Race 1 - Ashanti 3rd start this province and gives impression there is still improvement.
Race 4 - Mr Hugo rating drop and return to 1000m could suit.
