Thanks to the women we have a day off work - started my day on a winning note backing the PGA winner - let's hope it continues in the same vain. Challenging card - lets try to do better than Saturday ...

I think the Magner stable in for a good day - took the double on the first 2 yesterday at much more realistic odds - so now they just have to win

R1: Stormy Seas I think tough to beat - no obvious danger imo - if he fails it seems wide open as many of the others imo are looking for further on breeding

R2: Caerphilly very quick and despite a wide draw will not find many easier opportunities; Samoa and Nina Amelia the obvious ones for the paces.

R3: Fists of Fire the best form - out of Var mare though so the 1450 may be a stretch; Curios held by FoF on their last start, but may turn the tables over this trip - pole position an advantage and may be better without blinkers; War God has found betting support, but needs to show improvement, so I prefer the chances of City by the Sea - should prefer this kind of trip and has a good draw; The Eight Lord seems moderate, but can also feature in what seems a below average lot

R4: Looks a tough race to predict; Brooklyn Bridge has run well this track and trip, but the wide draw is a negative; the rest seem really moderate, so the lightly raced Let There Be Light who should prefer this type of trip, does not have to be a star to win this; Chloe Girl and Powder Puff can feature from a good draws, while Olivia will also prefer this course

R5: Very competitive low-level Fillies and Mares Handicap; tough to predict; may not be a lot between In Full Bloom and Pretty Jolly on their meeting last year October; Kimberley Green improved in her last run, but that was almost 6 months ago, so fitness may be an issue; some of the others wit chances on form like Golden Spiral and Lady Lexington have poor draws; these seem the principles, while Readysetglo could feature from a fair draw

R6: Lone Survivor has shortened drastically on the betting, and can't be ignored after a fair win, but does seem held by Ice Lord on their meeting in Feb; runners like Opening Gambit and Bold Matador are not out of if at the weights, so I'm including a few here

R7: Sheer Talent on a hat-trick, and looks the right one if handling the turn, but only Ilha da Varlette looks out of it on current form; main danger imo to ST is Gold Image

R8: I think the Magner stable can round off a good day with Allez les Bleu, looks well weighted here and with her early pace should be able to overcome a tricky draw; main danger imo is Little Rain who is going to do the chasing over the last 100; others with chances are Muleta (wide draw) and Persica while Phillydelphia can place
