With things starting to return to normal, when can we expect the full bouquet of betting to return? I.e. Full local exotics swg tri quartets on selected Aus meetings, USA and UK (though that has returned already).

Trifecta and Quartets definitely add interest to the Oz meetings, both harness and flat. It's available in the host country, so why are our local boys shying away from offering these
bets.
It adds to the churn factor on a race to race basis and beats waiting four legs for a commingled Jackpot , the returns of which can be less profitable unless there's upsets upon upsets.

You more often than not make a loss or small money on the Aus Jackpots because the operator is being a bit disingenuous saying we are playing into a R100 000 Jackpot pool in a harness meeting, for example. This is a R100 000 pool for a one Aus dollar unit, which last I checked is R11.96 per dollar. The actual pool we are playing into is Total displayed divided by the FX rate plus further divided by the premium charged on the fx conversion by the operator.
Local exotics on race by race make it more exciting, this win place exacta is now boring.

Totes now opened. Any closer to this happening?

.....I think that those pools will never be big enough even with totes opening.....as long as there is an open bet the tote will continue to struggle...they are simply making the payouts for the bookies to rake the major betting share.....:whistle:
