PHUMELELA MEDIA RELEASE

SUBJECT: Business as usual at TAB and Betting World

DATE: Tuesday 26 May 2020

RELEASED BY: Phumelela Gaming

Phumelela Gaming would like to reassure all TAB and Betting World customers, as well as horseracing and soccer fans in general, that it’s business as usual as South African horseracing readies to hopefully resume behind closed doors on 1 June.

The company will honour all financial obligations in terms of its betting operations, notably the credit balances of TAB and Betting World accountholders and TAB carryover monies.

No carryovers have been added to TAB pools since horseracing in South Africa and many other countries was suspended, which virtually coincided with all major soccer leagues coming to a halt.

Having no carryovers since then has been in accordance with TAB’s well-documented policy of maximising carryover monies for the benefit of all customers, which has not been possible with limited product and betting restricted to TAB digital accountholders.

TAB customers, however, can rest assured that carryover monies will be deployed to best effect once South African horseracing restarts and a significant number of TAB retail stores reopen.

As is always the case, such carryovers will be added to applicable pools on suitable events and dates, and will play a big role in reigniting interest in TAB betting pools on horseracing and soccer.

Oh OK they keep the carry over money until level 1, thats only when branches can actually be opened and then all punters have a crack at the pools its added to, hey but excuse me did those carry overs not occur while the ones that were able to punt and add to those pools were online punters only?

Yes this is the normal we have been accustomed to, unilateral statements that never make any sense. Take from punters and put into pools of their choosing.

All those French Trifecta and Quartet carry overs should go back into other French pools with immediate affect. Build the pools get the churnovers going and market the hell out of it now, Enthuse the punters now and do not let them wander off to the casinos when that opens at the same time the totes do.

.No they would rather sit on it an earn a smidgen of interest and try add it to the Durban July pools at the end of July

In my opinion all the exotics that was carried over for the foreign meetings should be carried forward to a designated meeting of the origin of the carry over. This should be done for all carry overs during the lockdown period as these pools was created by online wagers. Why should we wait!

Actually I have had enough, really enjoy some of the French venues but I will no longer support the Tote with their short sighted policies. Have to now walk away, if they want their customer base back they need to show a bit more creativeness.

Not true they seem to react as they now have a full exotic offing at Clairefontein today, You open bet players can now hand your chop to your favorite online bookie. While 4 or 5 others set the pool and dividends for you,

The deposits these days are rather fast. U pay or even Flash vouchers for cash you can buy Flash at Checkers and many others convert on a phone app and deposit with a pin number.
