Vaal

Race 1

Ashley Fortune

No 11 Curious Mind - Should need the run

No 10 Gimme Shimmy - Hoping for improvement

No 1 Single Red Rose - Has a big each-way chance

Stephanus Botha

No 13 Limiting Factor - Probably better suited to Kimberley

Race 2

Ashley Fortune

No 2 Soul Connection - Has a big each-way chance

Grant Maroun

No 7 Arran - Has a place chance

Corne Spies

No 8 The Pink Panther - Was badly in need of his last run after a long lay-off

and has a good each-way chance this time

Robbie Sage

No 10 Kalengwa - Will need the experience

Paul Peter

No 11 Oom Jim - Shows pace, could run a place

Chris Jonker

No 4 Orphelin Noir - He's very well and I'm expecting him to be in the places

Race 3

Gary Alexander

No 14 Thandekhile - Better drawn this time, good each-way chance

Geoff Woodruff

No 12 Shenandoah River - He over raced last time. He comes back in

distance and from a good draw should run an improved race.

No 13 Torben Spirit - Raced very green on debut. He has stronger

handling from Gavin Lerena this time and should make good improvement

Corne Spies

No 7 Ramkat - Hoping for improvement

Robbie Sage

No 9 Intrepid Fighter - Wide draw, hoping for improvement

No 5 Sniper Fire - Hoping to see some improvement

Stephanus Botha

No 4 Bartholomeus - If he can over come his wide draw, he has an each-way chance

Race 4

Ashley Fortune

No 5 Olympic Destiny - Hoping for improvement

No 9 Sasskia - Tough task from her wide draw

Fabian Habib

No 14 Daphne Du Maurier - She's come on since making her debut. She is

looking for further but could possibly run into a place

Chris Jonker

No 3 One-Oh-Wonder - Improved last run, hoping for more improvement

Race 5

Mike Azzie

No 4 Palace Assembly - He bounced back with a good win last time out

and from his good draw, should once again be in with a big chance

Fabian Habib

No 8 Lazarus Tree - He's fit and well. Probably better suited to

Turffontein but does have a strong each-way chance

No 9 Segontium - We seem to have found his problem and he's in with a

place chance

Race 6

Ashley Fortune

No 11 Anatolio - Always tries his best, should be in the shake up.

No 6 Captain Hindsight - Honest performer, should again run a big race

No 2 Sullenberger - Does his best over the minimum trip, should be close up.

Fabian Habib

No 14 Basilica Santo - Will need the run

No 3 Buffalo Soldier - Showing good work at home. It is a competitive

field but he does have a place chance

Race 7

Mike/Matthew De Kock

No 8 Diorama - Distance suited, has an each-way chance

Paul Peter

No 1 Western Fort - Very decent colt, hoping to follow up on his last win

Race 8

Romeo Francis

No 9 Amberglo Star - Expecting a better run

They should start the meetings earlier... Gauteng is renowned for afternoon thunderstorms...
