Race 1
Brett Crawford/Peter Muscutt
No 3 Tuscan Kiss – He meets some ordinary opposition here and although he does not have the best of draws, he will be doing his best work late
Garth Puller
No 8 Turf Patrol – His last run was disappointing. I’m battling to find his right distance but he does show speed and from a good draw he should have a chance of finishing in the money.

Race 2

Wayne Badenhorst
No 12 Sing Along – She’s fit and well and I’m hoping for improvement, possibly running into the money
Dennis Drier/Stuart Ferrie
No 5 Mission Beach – She tries the blinkers and we’re hoping this will make an improvement
Mike Miller
No 8 Basetsana – She’s a nice filly but was very green in her last run. If she has learned from that experience she should run an improved race

Race 3

Karen Anthony
No 3 Myelisha – She wasn’t wintering well but is much improved in herself recently.
Brett Crawford/Peter Muscutt
No 9 Gwendolyn – She has progressed since winning her maiden race. The step-up in trip will suit her and if she handles the poly track, she should be competitive
Nathan Kotzen
No 8 Spring Breeze – Is very well and should have a good each-way chance
Mike Miller
No 4 Mr Minister – She has her first run out of maiden company. She is working well and hopefully can run into the placings

Race 4

Dennis Drier/Stuart Ferrie
No 5 Master Dancer – He will appreciate this longer trip and is one to include in quartets
Garth Puller
No 3 Cassius Colt – May still be short of one run but could finish in the places

Race 5

Wayne Badenhorst
No 3 Biker Babe – She’s freshened up and is fit and well but has a tough ask from her wide draw
Nathan Kotzen
No 8 Fire Fairie – The extra distance should suit her and she should run well
Mike Miller
No 1 Stormbourne Thunder – She’s very well and does enjoy the poly track. She is probably my best runner on the day.

Race 6

Wayne Badenhorst
No 10 Elnora – She ran a disappointing race last time after a promising previous run. I’m just hoping to see an improvement
No 8 Rock Princess – Disappointing recently, hoping to see improvement
Duncan Howells
No 3 La Valette – She has been consistent but did find herself a bit too far back in her last race. She can run into the money
Shane Humby
No 4 Suzi Woo – She may need this run and could also find this a bit on the sharp side
Mike Miller
No 7 Path To Glory – She pulled a bit too hard over the 1600 meters last time out and subsequently faded. We have brought her back to 1200 meters in the hope to get her to relax and have a positive run.

Race 7

Dennis Bosch
No 3 The Graduate – He’s in good form at the moment and I’m expecting another good performance from him
Brett Crawford/Peter Muscutt
No 6 Made In Hollywood – She returns from a break and may just be in need of it. She also has an awkward draw but with some luck in running, she should be right there
Duncan Howells
No 8 Hey Boy – He’s very consistent and should have a nice each-way chance
Shane Humby
No 1 Socrates – Returns from a rest and may just need this run
Dennis Drier/Stuart Ferrie
No 9 Constantine – He’s a consistent sort and should give a good account of himself
No 5 Forthelastime – He may find this a touch sharp but will be running on
No 10 Master Of Illusion – He was a bit disappointing last time over 1600 meters. He may just be in need of this run

Race 8

Dennis Drier
No 3 Liquidity – His first run out the maidens was not bad and he is one to include in the quartets
No 4 Ninotto – He has good form. It’s not easy when having the first run out of maiden company but he should give a good account of himself.

That spring breeze last race form line should be followed 8 horses covered by only 1.95lengths

I was going to tip spring lighting, but you already taken that one

Will go with other runner that was also in that race MAKHET

LA BAHIA OR TURF PATROL

La Bahia has good past form over the 1200m and has run from deep draws but never taken on the opposite sex....From a deep draw and against the boys going to be difficult!!

TURF PATROL (WIN)

Trainer comments

Garth Puller
No 8 Turf Patrol – His last run was disappointing. I’m battling to find his right distance but he does show speed and from a good draw he should have a chance of finishing in the money.

650k buy already 5years only earning 8k back so far

Think he has come good in his last 3runs and this 1100m is the correct distance

Last 3runs

4th place finish over C/D
2.90 lengths off the winner
First run over a sprinting distance
In a stronger field than today

1200m scottsville
Finishing in 6th place 5.70lengths off the winner
But the winner won that race by 3lengths
3rd/4th/5th/6th place was covered by only 0.60lengths
My assumption is...if it was the 1100m Turf patrol would of finished a lot closer or even won the race, probably just lost it in the last 100m's

1200m greyville poly
Finished in 6th place 5.20lengths off the winner
Lost1 length
2.25lengths off the hot pot favorite duke of York (7/4)
Again think would of finished a lot closer if the race ended at the 1100m mark (watched the replay and he moved up towards the leading line, putting in a Strong challenge, but just faded out at the 150m mark)

Drawn well again today and back over the 1100m...not the strongest maiden field has a good chance
