TAB MEDIA RELEASE
SUBJECT: Raceday auditor suspended pending hearing
DATE: Tuesday 27 August 2019
RELEASED BY: Phumelela Gaming
Disciplinary action is being taken following the late closure of TAB betting pools on several Australian races last Saturday morning.
Betting pools on four races from Australia - Toowoomba races 2 and 3 and Belmont races 7 and 8 - were not closed timeously.
A full inquiry yesterday revealed that neither the tote betting system operator nor the raceday auditor on duty had followed standard operating procedures in the wake of the loss of communication links with Tabcorp in Australia on Saturday morning.
The raceday auditor has been suspended with immediate effect pending a formal disciplinary hearing this week. Raceday auditors have the primary responsibility for ensuring betting pools are closed at the start of a race.
“There’s no evidence of any malpractice,” said a TAB spokesperson. “It’s a case of the individuals involved failing to following the procedures and rules in the chaos that followed losing the communication links with Tabcorp. That said it’s totally unacceptable and the necessary disciplinary action will be taken. TAB will issue an update later this week when that process has been completed.”

What about those punters who took bets on these races, after they had been run. Knowingly stealing money, from their fellow punters, whos winning dividends were obviously decreased due to the late bets. They are easily traceable, More so when they brag on ABC about their thieving exploits, Thanking TAB & referring to themselves as Clever Punters.

Tony T and I agree on something. Wonders never cease. We should line those thieves along with the Kimberley dopers and throw the keys away.
As an aside, if the thief had not bleated on here who woukd have been the wiser?

Re: Raceday auditor suspended
5 years 9 months ago....obviously you never read the entire threads as to the motivation for taking the bets....FFS Im the f@cking whistle blower here and you are calling me a thief...I too took legitimate bets on those races too and received skewered payouts....had I had a full go everything after the results would have paid a lot worse....and by this release the operator does not know the brevity of this action.....they need to say why the races were not made nul and void....did the auditor apart from not ensuring that the races were not closed in time give instructions for them to try fix the situation by then making the payouts.....:huh:Tony T wrote: What about those punters who took bets on these races, after they had been run. No evidence of malpractice?
Like Muhti said, they knowingly knew the races where left open after the result but still paid out a dividend.Surely they should have been null and void.
Is the race auditor the same person who declares the dividends all clear?

I am with Muthi here- he did what he did to have absolute proof of what these fuckers are doing
I had proof 20 years ago of where a tellytrack employee manipulated the tote pools - and nothing happened - probably still doing it
only thing I could do was not to have a tote bet ever again - like trying to save the starfish

....thanx but if they had followed so called procedures or protocol when they lost the link null and void should have been the only option and this would have been a none event.....why must only one guy take the rap when there are others that must be to blame....surely the auditor cannot then override protocol and make amendments to have a result and payout.....also remember one was for the duration basically betting blind as no tote odds were displayed at all .....further to this was there not also cart racing in this time frame when the system was open or link less....I do not participate in that sh!t so would not know if anything was affected there.....the link was down from Toowoomba race one but then as they claim only certain 2 races from each center yet no tote odds nor payouts were available on far more that they say were affected.....they are trying to down play a major b@lls up where several people have had to be involved and trying to quash this makes it seem like a conspiracy.....this is because either there are no set procedures or protocols...... or just plain piss poor management of the tote system.....
Last edit: 5 years 9 months ago by Muhtiman. Reason: the they and protocol much better than procedure
