Bernard looks good on Rings and Things.. However in the same race, i make Gould the one to follow from Greef stable... Ladysmith could suprise here and at 20/1 it should be well worth a nice EW.... SW and Exactas with Rings and Things aswell....

TRAINER COMMENTS :
RACE 1 :
1st four selections
7 / 2 / 4 / 5
• GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 2 and 8 - BIG BAY & TRIAL RUN : Big Bay has
been right there in recent starts and is expected to hold form. Trial
Run is never far back and should earn again.
• ALAN GREEFF - Numbers 5 and 7 - LUCIO & PARTERRE : Luciao has been
thereabouts in his three starts so far and can earn again. Parterre
was very green on debut and improvement is expected.
TARA LAING - Numbers 1 and 3 - APOLLO ROCK & DR GOODWIN : Both two
year olds are expected to be green and need the experience.
RACE 2 :
1st four selections
4 / 11 / 10 / 3
• ALAN GREEFF - Numbers 1 and 4 - AFRICAN CHIME & CALANDRA : African
Chime has her first run. Calandra ran very well in her last and will
be right there again.
• TARA LAING - Number 11 - SPEECHMAKER : She needed her last, still
ran a good race and even more is expected from her.
GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 3, 5 and 7 - CABALLE, FLAME UP & NEVERTHELESS
: Caballe ran very well on debut in her last and could place. Flame Up
is always thereabouts. Nevertheless is improving and can place.
SHARON KOTZEN - Numbers 6, 9 and 13 - MISTRESS OF MEANS, OYSTER BAR
& WYLIE’S FLAME : We were very happy with Mistress of Means first run
and she has come on from it. Oyster Bar comes back from a break. She
has strengthened up, is bred to sprint and the 1200m will definitely
suit. Wylie’s Flame was very green first time out
GRANT PADDOCK - Numbers 8 and 12 - ORLANDA & TRULY SPECIAL : Orlanda
is improving steadily but ideally she does need further. Hoping for
improvement from Truly Special.
RACE 3 :
1st four selections
8 / 2 / 1 / 5
• SHARON KOTZEN - Number 2 - KATASHA : She is in good form and the
1100m distance will be right up her alley, so she’ll be thereabouts
again.
• ALAN GREEFF - Numbers 3 and 8 - ALWAYS DANCING & TIBETAN SUNRISE :
Always Dancing has her first run for the yard and a will run well.
Tibetan Sunrise takes on older but has a winning chance based on her
promising debut run last time out.
JACQUES STRYDOM - Number 6 - HURRICANE SASHA : She races off a bit
of a break and could just need this, but she does have quartet
potential.
GAVIN SMITH - Number 7 - LITTLE RED STAR : She is speedy and can
manage the back end of quartets.
RACE 4 :
1st four selections
2 / 1 / 8 / 9
• TARA LAING - Number 1 - BREVIN : He just got beat in his last and
should go close again.
• SHARON KOTZEN - Number 2 - CRADLEOFGRATITUDE : He has his first
run for the yard and I am hoping he brings his Cape form as then he
has a definite chance.
GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 4 and 9 - REYMUNDO & GINGER ROCK : Reymundo
improved in his last and further improvement is expected. Ginger Rock
takes on the boys but she ran an improved race over 1400m last time
out.
DUNCAN MCKENZIE - Number 5 - KING OF PROMISE : We’re trying
something new as far as the distance goes and have stepped him up to
1400m.
ALAN GREEFF - Number 8 - CIRENCESTER ROSE : She runs against the
boys but is in consistent form and can place.
RACE 5 :
1st four selections
3 / 1 / 4 / 7
• GRANT PADDOCK - Numbers 1, 2 and 4 - LORD MARSHAL, PROSPECT
STRIKE & COUNTRY ROCK : All three will appreciate being down in class.
Lord Marshal loves course and distance but the draw is a concern.
Prospect Strike was unlucky in his last and can do better. Country
Rock is back in trip, he didn’t see the 2400m out in his last and he
can place.
• ALAN GREEFF - Numbers 3 and 5 - VOICES OF LIGHT & DYNASTY’S BOY :
Voices of Light is honest and the way he has been finishing his races
off over sprinting trips suggests he will enjoy the extra he is
trying. Dynasty’s Boy is holding form and can place.
GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 8 and 14 - MASTERFUL & BORN A BULLY :
Masterful enjoys track and trip. Born a Bully tries further.
JACQUES STRYDOM - Numbers 10, 11 and 15 - TITUS, CHESTNUT WILD &
KOBUS : Titus races off a lengthy break, as well as 1400m being a bit
short for him but he is a horse that always tries and were he to pop
up and place it wouldn’t surprise. Chestnut Wild is always thereabouts
and always has to be included in trifectas and quartets. Kobus ran a
better race in his last and we are hoping he can repeat that.
TARA LAING - Number 13 - LEADMAN : He would prefer further but is
not without chance.
RACE 6 :
1st four selections
3 / 1 / 9 / 2
• ALAN GREEFF - Number 1 - EPIC STORM : She goes for the hat trick
and is improving with each run.
• TARA LAING - Number 3 - FLY THOUGHT : She won her last well and at
the weights here must have a good chance again.
SHARON K OTZEN - Numbers 6 and 7 - SPOILS OF WAR & DETTIE : Spoils
of War ran a decent post maiden in her last, all her form locally is
on Poly though, she tries grass for the first time in PE, so I’m
hoping she can hold form. Dettie has her post maiden run and is up in
class.
GRANT PADDOCK - Number 8 - INGA : She is trying 2000m again but
there are stamina doubts.
DUNCAN MCKENZIE - Numbers 10, 12 and 14 - SALUBRIOUS, BELL TOWER &
GREAT SOUND : Salubrious is in good form, the grass is a query as all
her form is on Poly, but she has the best draw of all to her
advantage. Bell Tower also ran well on the Poly in her last and can
hopefully repeat now on Turf. Great Sound is looking well and if she
can get handy in the running she will improve on her last.
JACQUES STRYDOM - Numbers 11 and 13 - BOLDNESS & CONVENTION :
Boldness will run well. Convention may prefer Poly, but she could
place.
GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 2, 4 and 15 - SILVER GOBLET, REDBERRY WOOD &
ASHDOWN : Silver Goblet ran a decent last and can be thereabouts.
Improvement is expected from Redberry Wood. Hoping for improvement
from Ashdown.
RACE 7 :
1st four selections
7 / 6 / 8 / 14
• SHARON KOTZEN - Numbers 1, 7, 8 and 15 - LETS BE FRANK, CHIEF
BLACK HORSE, GREAT CRUSADE & CRUISE CRUZ : Lets be Frank enjoys Turf
and drawn well, I am expecting a big run from him. Chief Black Horse
found the 2200m last time out a stretch, back in trip will suit, as
will grass and though he isn’t drawn well he will run a lot better
than his last. Great Crusade has managed two good wins in his last two
runs. The mile here could be sharp for him, but he is not without
chance. Cruise Cruz is new to the yard - this is a starting point for
him and the mile should be short for him, but he is showing good work
back home.
• GRANT PADDOCK - Numbers 4, 6 and 16 - AWAKENING, STRONG ‘N BRAVE
& KEANAN’S ROCK : Awakening will improve, his work back home is a lot
better. Draw a line through Strong ‘n Brave’s last, he has a good draw
and a decent chance. Keanan’s Rock must improve.
TARA LAING - Number 10 - SHY GUY : He won in a weak maiden field so
just hoping for a decent run having his post maiden outing.
JACQUES STRYDOM - Number 12 - PACHUCO : He will need this.
GAVIN SMITH - Number 14 - SUNDAY FALLS : He enjoys track and trip
and can place.
DUNCAN MCKENZIE - Number 2 - THE CAT : Hoping for improvement.
ALAN GREEFF - Numbers 3 and 5 - THREE TIMES A LADY & ADALFIERI :
Three times a Lady takes on the boys, she could find the frame.
Adalfieri has the blinkers back on and with some luck could also
perhaps manage quartets.
RACE 8 :
1st four selections
3 / 4 / 18 / 8
• ALAN GREEFF – Numbers 2, 3, 4, 8, 15 and 16 - OKLAHOMA SKY, RINGS
AND THINGS, FIRST SWALLOW, AL’S BELLS, LADYSMITH & CAPAILL : All
runners have earning potential. Oklahoma Sky shows a lot of pace and
always tries. Rings and Things is new to the yard, the blinkers are
off and she is showing good work back home. First Swallow ran very
well on her local debut last time out and another good run is
expected. Al’s Bells form speaks for itself, she is overdue for a win.
Ladysmith is never far back.
• GRANT PADDOCK - Number 18 - DINNER DATE : She is working very well
and was unlucky in her last where she was impeded late by a hanging
horse. That day she also took on the boys and the formline has held up
well. Here she is back to same sex company, lightly weighted and she
is definitely a runner.
JACQUES STRYDOM - Numbers 5 and 13 - FLAME OF FIRE & TREE OF LIFE :
Flame of Fire is better suited to Poly, but she could place. Tree of
Life was a bit disappointing in her last, she generally does her best
on Turf and we are hoping for better from her.
SHARON KOTZEN - Number 10 - ROMANTIC CRUSADE : She is fit and well
and though she has done her best over 1300m on Poly a decent run is
expected.
TARA LAING - Number 11 - THOKZINE : She is coming back from a break
and could need it.
GAVIN SMITH - Number 17 - LALENA : She is working well and can place.
DUNCAN MCKENZIE - Numbers 1 and 14 - AFLEET FLYER & BUSHY PARK :
Afleet Flyer is well in herself and working well so I am hoping for a
decent run. Bushy Park ran well against stronger in her last and is
always in the action.
RACE 9 :
1st four selections
4 / 7 / 10 / 5
•DUNCAN MCKENZIE - Numbers 1, 7 and 16 - STRAWBERRY GIRL, KEEPING
SECRETS & PARADE’S END : Strawberry Girl will appreciate the claimer
up to get her top weight down, she can run well. I have always rated
Keeping Secrets and she will run well. Parade’s End is working well,
she needs to hold her form from Poly now to Turf as her last was a
good run.
• ALAN GREEFF - Numbers 3, 4, 6, 8, 11, 14 and 17 - LIGHT ON HER
TOES, SUN UP, BUSHIRI, BEHOLDEN, BUTTERFLY SPIRIT, ELUSIVE DIVA &
ZANZIBAR BEAT : Again all runners can find a cheque. Light on her Toes
has been disappointing in that she hasn’t found the winners box yet
locally, but her merit rating has slid right down and she is a regular
earner. Sun Up is in great form and has a winning shout. Bushiri is
back to the sprints. Beholden ran a good race in her last. Butterfly
Spirit and Zanzibar Beat have been a bit erratic of recent, but if
they put their best foot forward they have the ability to get
involved. Elusive Diva runs in PE for the first time, she is up in
class having her post maiden run.
SHARON KOTZEN - Number 12 - ANGEL JOLEE : She ran a good post maiden
race in her last and another good run is expected.
TARA LAING - Number 13 - COUNTLESS AWARDS : She is coming back from
a break and could need it.
JACQUES STRYDOM - Numbers 2 and 10 - IT’S A GIRL & GO SNOW GIRL GO :
It’s a Girl races off a long lay off and should need this. Go Snow
Girl Go ran very well on local debut last time out and can be there
again.
RACE 1 :
1st four selections
7 / 2 / 4 / 5
• GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 2 and 8 - BIG BAY & TRIAL RUN : Big Bay has
been right there in recent starts and is expected to hold form. Trial

be right there again.
• TARA LAING - Number 11 - SPEECHMAKER : She needed her last, still
