Weekend update.
6 years 2 weeks ago - 6 years 2 weeks ago
For me this weekend highlight has to be the clash between Too Darn Hot and Magna Grecia in the Irish 2000 gns.
Magna did win the English equivalent easily from the best draw and TDH missed the race due to injury but I have no doubt that Too Darn Hot will prove he would have won the Newmarket gns by winning at the Curragh on Saturday.
The Derby picture keeps changing but it looks like O’Brien has stopped drinking the French champagne and his mind is set on the Epsom Derby for Sir Dragonet.
Not sure of the riding arrangements between Sir D, Broome and Anthony Van Dyk and if Ryan Moore does go for Sir D it should start around 6/4 fav but personally would be happy if Donnacha O’Brien retains the mount.
I also took an early bet on Anthony, so hopefully well covered for the race but have a slight worry re: Bangkok as that was the only other horse to impress during the build up.
We have the big sprint race day at Scottsville on Sat where the banker should be Stage Dance in the opener to get the punters off to a flying start.
As always on the big sprint day very competitive and we can be sure of a few big exotics. We also have the match race from Kenilworth where One World and Vardy to fight it out.
Next week we have the Daily News 2000 to look forward to and no big exotics here as Hawwaam should beat stable companion Soqrat and maybe it will be confirmed if the heavily backed July fav will actually go for the big one?
The big football game of the week is obviously the Scottish Cup final where my team the mighty HEARTS OF MIDLOTHIAN 8/1 play a team called Celtic and look forward to a good effort from the JAMTARTS.
Good Punting

In addition to the Curragh a couple of stars running at Haydock
Calyx and Battash
Chester double for Silvestre De Sousa
Hero hero and Raffle Prize
Glorious Goodwood where Olsin Murphy can also have a double with Silent Wave and Neon Sea.
The big race at York should go to Enbihaar
Cartmel where champion jock Richard Johnson should win the opener with Young Wolf
Olsin Murphy can pop up again at Salisbury with Pempie in the last.
Now look at Me is best at a poor Ffos Las meeting
Plus plenty info on the local front so you should not battle to find a punting opportunity

Valencia ends Barcelona’s double dreams in the Copa Del Rey.
Celtic does the treble treble in the Scottish Cup.
Bayern clinch the double in the German Cup.
Leinster beats Glasgow to retain the Pro 14 title.

Yes mac unfortunately celtic made it 3 trebles in a row but took 9/1 hearts and cash out when they scored first heart not ruling brain
Plus when Frankie went past Ryan thought race over
I am sure had 7/10 winners so not bad UK results left Scottsville
Look forward to next weekend

St Mirren stay up after beating Dundee United 2-0 on penalties
Those 4 penalties that Dundee missed must have been the poorest consecutive kicks that I have ever seen?
