Even if your man Bernie took up his rides here he wouldn’t have won on that one Elvis.
Horse clearly not fit and ready for the this outing.

In general...I watched about 4 races...around the bend and down the straight...Lots of argy bargy...horses not jumping straight...or running around down the straight...What makes Scottsville such a minefield...the undulating course, and jockeys not straightening their mounts before making a run...
I saw Muis give instructions to the appy to keep a straight line in the last...not a chance...

100% Bob and Sylvester I do have an opinion on the race. The constant inconsistency when applying rules brings racing into disrepute with the punter and public but continues unchecked.

James and Laff wax on for 20 minutes about the Kentucky Derby and how that result wouldn't stand in SA because of our rules and don't even see the irony in what they are saying. All they had to do was show the replay of this race and then they wouldn't be able to explain anything at all. A real problem when there are conflicted people performing 100 different jobs.

Our Coys bumped Hand on Heart and in turn Hand on Heart was forced to shift into Silva's Bullet, Our Coys then completely takes up the running of Hand on Heart forcing this horse to check severely. Silva's Bullet shifts in for a run while Our Coys continues to shift from the outside all the way to the inside. In the final 150m Capoeira shifts in and takes up Silva's Bullets run, Our Coys then shifts onto Capoeira while Silva's bullet is pulled out for a clear run and is closing on them at the finish.

the SA rules are clear so there should not have been any debate unless I have read the race completely wrong but alas absolutely nothing is done.

I invite anyone who knows a stipe overseas to watch this race along with when Legislate & Power King won the July and give their opinion. I would urge them to watch the races without any commentary.

The inconsistent application of any rules leads to conspiracy and removes transparency unless your on the "Animal Farm" where all Pigs are equal but some Pigs are more equal than others.

below is the stipes report.

Not sure how to handle the stirrup issue.
what does concern me is that the 3rd placed trainer/jockey did not raise an objection.

agree 100% with Tigershark

b) Passing the 500 metre mark the right foot of Jockey W Kennedy, rider of OUR COYS (AUS), slipped out of the stirrup iron resulting in OUR COYS (AUS) becoming unbalanced. Shortly after regaining his right iron his left foot came out of the stirrup iron. This resulted in OUR COYS (AUS) shifting in abruptly carrying HAND ON HEART (J Samuel) and SILVA’S BULLET (K de Melo) inwards passing the 350 metre mark. As a result HAND ON HEART (J Samuel) and PERPETUAL FLAME (*L Ferraris) became cramped. Thereafter passing the 250 metre mark CAPOEIRA (G Wright) and OUR COYS (AUS) (W Kennedy) shifted in independently of each other resulting in SILVA’S BULLET (K de Melo) being carried inwards by CAPOEIRA (G Wright). As a result SILVA’S BULLET (K de Melo) was switched out to continue his run.
c) A race review was called by a Stipendiary Steward into this incident and after reviewing the patrol videos from the various angles and considering the distances between the runners no further action was taken

Another chapter from Enid Blyton and utterly inconsistent but written to suit the outcome.

The result should have been;
Silva's Bullet
Capoeira
Our Coys

Just my opinion, all disclaimers apply as there are better race readers on this site and many who understand the rules better.

Would be interesting if you posted the two July races Bob, Legislate & Power King, comparing these to the Our Coys race, so that people can try and decipher how you get three totally different outcomes.
