You may have played your last bet, not sure whether racing will resume today

Lets play it out... Racing in SA is abolished. How many will that leave unemployed? What do the unemployed resort to? Crime, theft, drugs...?

Just curious, in a situation like Phumelela are in now, who is the Main Man trying to negotiate with the strikers on race day? Anyone know?

Guess that you will start betting on UK racing. If you have not heard of him I would suggest you follow a jockey whose name is Ryan Moore, he will make you rich

Just been told that a top Jhb trainer has said that this is his last day of training. Not prepared to take this anymore. Also told that 3 Natal trainers are not renewing their licenses at the end of the season. No names given though.

This is a very sad situation for racing and SA in general
I am sure whatever is happening the powers that be will do everything possible to resolve.
I feel sorry for all involved today from owners, trainers, jockeys, grooms and the punters who made the effort to attend and support racing .
It can only have a negative impact with potential job loss and not to forget the SPONSORS and the various events planned.
Feel sick ......
