Felix, we are drawn in the middle....can only hope for a similar run to last time...but racing is all about luck ....and i was very bullish about MIGHTY HIGH last Saturday & she had NIL luck in running last Saturday.....can only hope for the best, same jock on top but 200m further.

Time will tell, happy punting guys an girls ;)

TRAINER COMMENTS

RACE 1 :

1ST FOUR SELECTIONS :

7 / 2 / 9 / 5

GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 1, 2, 3 and 9 - ANOTHER LEXINGTON, BHALTIER, BOLD STRIKE & TRIAL RUN : Another Lexington is a nice type and could be thereabouts if not too green, Bhaltier is a lovely big horse and likewise, if not too green could feature. Bold Strike will enjoy the extra as will Trial Run who is bred to want even further.

ALAN GREEFF - Numbers 4, 5 and 7 - CAFE CUBANO, GIACOMO & MIO GRANDE : Cafe Cubano is a half brother to Barahin. Improvement is expected from both Giacomo and Mio Grande who will both enjoy the extra.

GEORGE UREN (MONTANNA TURNER) - Number 6 - LINDEN ROCK : We are hoping for improvement from him up in trip as he should better suited now distance wise.

RACE 2 :

1ST FOUR SELECTIONS :

2 / 3 / 1 / 4

ALAN GREEFF - Numbers 1, 2 and 3 - EDMONDA, GREAT ACHIEVEMENT & LUNA WISH : All three fillies have chances here and on work are hard to split at the moment.

GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 4, 6 and 7 - ALASKAN FATE, STEADY BREEZE & YODALICIOUS : All three are maidens against winners. Alaskan Fate is a lovely filly, she is looking for further. Steady Breeze can place. Yodalicious is better than her last run suggests.

RACE 3 :

1ST FOUR SELECTIONS :

5 / 1 / 3 / 2

TARA LAING - Numbers 2 and 7 - ZABIVAKA & BREVIN : Zabivaka tries the blinkers, he does prefer the grass and has a place chance. Brevin needed his first run, improvement is expected although ideally he does want further.

GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 3 and 5 - DUKE OF HAZARD & TOMMY THE BUILDER : Duke of Hazard can place. Tommy the Builder ran a good race on local debut in his last and can follow up.

JACQUES STRYDOM - Numbers 4 and 9 - FERRARI’S MOON & KING CAPONE : Ferrari’s Moon will need this racing off a break. King Capone took his first run well and will improve.

RACE 4 :

1ST FOUR SELECTIONS :

1 / 6 / 7 / 10

ALAN GREEFF - Number 1 - BEHOLDEN : She has a winning chance.

GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 3 and 6 - HELLO ROSIE & SPORT CHIC : Both fillies could have a quartet chance.
DUNCAN MCKENZIE - Number 10 - ESCAPE TO VEGAS : She is a very nice filly and if not too green could place.

JACQUES STRYDOM - Number 2 - TORAN’S GIRL : She will need this off a break.

RACE 5 :

1ST FOUR SELECTIONS :

3 / 1 / 2 / 6

GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 2 and 4 - ALAMITO BAY & SUPER SOCKS : Alamito Bay is working well but he does have breathing issues. Super Socks can place.

ALAN GREEFF - Numbers 3 and 12 - HARD CORE & STRUMMER : Hard Core would ideally want a touch further but he still has a decent chance at winning. Hoping for improvement from Strummer.

TARA LAING - Numbers 5 and 7 - DI ME & ADRIANO’S TRIUMPH : Hoping for improvement from Di Me. Adriano’s Triumph enjoys track and trip, he does race off a little break but has a place chance.

JACQUES STRYDOM - Numbers 8, 9 and 10 - TREE OF LIFE, KOBUS & ORACLE KINGDOM : Tree of Life has her post maiden run and is up in class and taking on the boys which is not ideal. Kobus tries blinkers. Oracle Kingdom has a quartet chance.

DUNCAN MCKENZIE - Number 11 - PERFECT PEACE : Hoping for improvement.

RACE 6 :

1ST FOUR SELECTIONS :

1 / 3 / 8 / 4

ALAN GREEFF - Numbers 1 and 5 - AFRICAN MESSIAH & ADALFIERI : African Messiah won well in his last and can follow up. Adalfieri won a gutsy race in his last too and has a place chance.

TARA LAING - Number 8 - LEADMAN : He would prefer a furlong further, but is always thereabouts and is expected to be there again.

GRANT PADDOCK - Number 9 - ROCK THE COT : Not quite sure if he’s up to the MR72 class, but he is working well, should enjoy the extra and could perhaps have a quartet shot.

GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 4 and 6 - MASTERFUL & WILDCAT : Masterful won a hard fought race in his last, he can place. Wildcat has a quartet chance.

JACQUES STRYDOM - Numbers 7, 11 and 13 - CHESTNUT WILD, MASTER DESIGN & ARMSTRONG’S BOY : Ignore Chestnut Wild’s last, he will get closer. Master Design won well in his last to leave the maidens but is up in class. Armstrong’s Boy could manage the back end of quartets.

RACE 7 :

1ST FOUR SELECTIONS :

3 / 1 / 4 / 9

GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 3, 4 and 6 - ROSIE, DREAM A DREAM & GINGER ROCK : Rosie will enjoy further. Dream a Dream and Ginger Rock have place chances.

GEORGE UREN (MONTANNA TURNER) - Number 7 - OHSOBRIGHT : She has been disappointing as she shows so much more at home.

JACQUES STRYDOM - Number 2 - CONVENTION : Convention has her second run after a lay off.

DUNCAN MCKENZIE - Number 5 - AFRICAN DIAMOND : Hoping for improvement.

RACE 8 :

1ST FOUR SELECTIONS :

4 / 7 / 10 / 12

GAVIN SMITH - Numbers 4, 11 and 12 - VIVA LE BLEU, GITANGO TONIGHT & JUST CALL ME ANGEL : Viva le Bleu ran a good last from a shocking draw and should be there again. Gitango Tonight is holding form. Just call me Angel has run two good recent races and drawn well has a quartet chance.

TARA LAING - Numbers 7 and 16 - STREET GAZE & HITHER GREEN : Street Gaze is honest and another good run is expected. Hither Green has her post maiden run and is up in class.

GRANT PADDOCK - Number 8 - INGA : She is working well and takes on a similar field as to what she beat last time out, but the hefty six point penalty for that win is a concern.

DUNCAN MCKENZIE - Number 5 - SAN’S DANCER : Disappointing last two runs, hoping for better.

ALAN GREEFF - Numbers 2, 3 and 9 - THREE TIMES A LADY, FOOLS GARDEN & KAZURI : Three times a Lady needs her rating to drop, she could place. Fools Garden is always thereabouts, but could be at her very best on Poly rather. Kazuri is never far back and can always earn
