The Shoeing problem [Sorry losing shoe problem}

The problem of horses losing a shoe on the way to the start has been a topic in the Sporting Post
I often visit stables in Cape Town and was surprised to see how a number of the Farriers work
They all seem to have assistants who seem to remove the shoes ,trim the feet ,different person
and fit the shoe
Mr Miller stated that he shoed 60 horses but I wonder how many did he do start to finish
Overseas the farrier does the job
He may have somebody else pull the shoes but the rest is by a qualified journeyman
There are farriers in Cape Town who do it all
Not sure about the rest of the RSA
