A Different Sale ?

Watched Breeding To Win on Sunday
All about the sale held by CTR at Durbanville on Friday
The spin put on the sale and it being a success is laughable
All the Wylie Hall yearlings were given away or not sold
Mare that were fairly wellbred no different
No wonder they have not published a pricelist with buyers on their site

I think these days finding someone willing to buy a horse regardless of the price is seen as a success? Remember the 5k you got for the Wylie Hall yearling means the bleeding has stopped.

My take is SA RACING is in big big trouble.
Pool of owners is shrinking by the day.
Syndicates don't seem to have had the desired effect of bringing new blood into the pool.
SA RACING matters not whether Phumelela RA NHRA or another party need to find ways to keep existing, attract new owners to the game.
We need incentives/packages that work for the smaller/middle range owners.
Possibilities
Rebates on Training fees if u with a certain Trainer
Rebates if u support a certain stud Farm
Offer 2nd teir racing in main centers when only smaller owners/trainers can have runners at reduced stakes.

i am sure there are a hundred better ideas than mine but we need more owners if we plan to have sales and get the horses sold and keep the studs functioning.

Jooste created a false reality and SA RACING needs to address it ASAP.

I have an idea and will start fleshing it out when I retire at the end of the month. But will not be a silver bullet...will take a few years to build up crit8cal mass
