Saturday will be the 10th meeting in less than a month at the track.

they cant surely expect the track to hold up with all this racing??

Re Mauritius.
I believe the sand track on the inside of the turf track is used mostly for training ( horses are also trained on a smaller track inland ).
Re the Champ De Mars itself, it is on an incline leading from the mountains on the left towards the harbour which would help get rid of any water around the track.
Also Port-Louis doesn't get as much rain as the rest of the country.

They don’t race very often on the island do I suppose the track gets more time to recover..

Hearing the Turffontein outside track might need a bit extra work

i see the 16th also inside track.

can we start taking bets on number of horses that will start coming back lame or break down completely over the next few weeks at Turfontein.
