The two Marcus mounts i like are races 3 and 4.
One World should be too classy for this field, can't elaborate on what everyone already knows.
Nastergal ran 1.70 lengths behind Front And Center at level weights two runs back, we all witnessed Front And Centre come home lonely on Wednesday. Nastergal was running on strongly last time out over 1400m from a wide draw (11/13). Should appreciate the extra and put this field away. Most probably start a lot shorter than the current odds.
Some solid support for All In Line in the 5th, if Marcus overcomes the draw he will win. Has run close up to two fair sorts in his last two outings, which would explain the support.
Must admit, the Matchem is not as straightforward as the betting suggests, for me anyway. Tap O'Noth is the class act of the race, but may appreciate further at this stage. In his favour, Marcus is a master at controlling the pace of a race, and if allowed to do so, may be difficult to peg back. Rainbow Bridge, whilst the rising star, no telling how he will go first run back, from a wide draw, stiffest task to date. Is my marginal fancy, must admit. Then there's Fifty Cents, yet to be beaten at Durbanville, but is taking on stronger. Does have the benefit of a recent run which was a winning one.

Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

Lovely summers day with a fresh South Easter ( headwind). Pen 21, good.
Race 1: Louisa May good debut and will improve on that. Has a good chance from a nice draw but I think the price a bit skinny. Fluttering went close last time and that form is strong, so she is my selection despite wide draw. These two should get you through the bipot, but Alsflamingbeauty, Vomandla, Tropical Hibiscus and Au Revoir have all shown enough to crack their maidens soon.
Race 2: Gimmetherain has a wide draw otherwise would be a very confident choice. Empire Glory good run last time and now drawn much better is the danger. Larry Jack and Dragon Power fair form and could earn. Bestday of Mylife good debut and must be respected.
We have Wood For the Trees- green on debut and has come on from that but will need further.
Race 3: One World a class horse but has a tough task at the weights against Kasimir
Race 4: Nastergal has good form and should win. Sparkeling Fire the obvious danger. Star Fighter good debut and another to consider.
Race 5: All in Line another that would be a confident choice if not drawn out wide. Still the one to beat. Celestial Prince, JJ the Wolf and The Solution all on the up and should be involved in the finish.
Race 6: Very competitive and a few returning from breaks. We have Freedom Charter running. Good win last time and this distance will suit. Big runner, but may need it slightly. Goodtime Gal has had the benefit of a recent run and could be the right one. Love to Boogie, and all four of the Snaith runners are capable of winning. Lesedi La Rona the only 3yo, is a top sort and must be included.
Race 7: Tap O Noth is the class horse and should win if fit enough. Rainbow Bridge has done nothing wrong and could be good enough. Fifty Cents and Copper Force hard knocking older horses that could arrive.
Race 8: Spring Fling good debut and should win if he jumps on terms this time. Quite open if he fails, with all of 1,2,3,4,8,11,12 to be considered. Mist of Time improved run last time and the further the better for him. Expecting further improvement although stable jockey has chosen Naturalist.
