This is a hard game , Louisa May is a natural frontrunner but gets held up , pulls and doesnt kick on , makes u wonder sometimes

And there's still people who think it's all about the horse.
We see it it very often (especially in the UK) where the best horse has lost due to an incompetent ride.

A jockey cannot make a horse go quicker than it's innate ability but they sure can make them go slower !!:whistle:

I disagree. She jumps well and he has her handy, and then she pulls. He tries to settle her- if she is going to go on to bigger things then trying to teach her to settle in a race at this stage of her career is the right thing to do. She finally settles in third place and then has nothing to come in the straight. This was a competitive field and she just wasn’t good enough today.

You don't think they should try and win a maiden first and then think of bigger things?
If you know the way your horse runs then use those tactics to win and teach the horse to settle on the training tracks.
