I am thankful that Phumelela show Ngong Racing as I feel grateful when Cape Racing fields 7 runners per race as opposed to the 4,5 and 6 for Zim and Kenya..
I am thankful that at 10 am I can bet on some cart racing from Australia because I realize how lucky we are that this foolish sport failed in KZN
I am thankful that staying races are limited in SA especially as we have for years introduced Sadler's Wells lines etc so our true stayers never get an opportunity to produce their genetic proclivity
I'm thankful for cellphones and emails which, through their technological advantage, have stopped Journalists(are their really any left?) from CALLING trainers for their views rather than spewing out uninformed text or broadcasts that help punters find the door to the Sports Betting bookmaker
Anyone else?(I have reams more thanks to attribute but just like Oscar speeches are curbed I'll say my bit and hope others find a voice)

The thing that I am most thankful for is, when there is a big race and the post race interview and lead in etc is happening with all the action, or the all important canter down, TT switch to some boring betting screen with nauseating music playing in the background. Wow, it certainly is something to be thankful because I normally then switch channels and stop punting or take my kids out so at least I save money and spend quality time with them, so a big greatful thank you.

I am thank full for tellytrack presenter tipsters like Alston Naidoo , as u can lose money on short priced favourites on a consistent basis with his selections :whistle:
I am thankful that whomever Kevin Anderson is playing in the Wimbledon Quarter Finals attracts more replies and responses than a post highlighting the demise of Mares and Foals at a stud farm.
I am thankful that this place has become less about the horse and more about everything else ....
