The Many Problems
6 years 10 months ago
There are many many many problems with SA racing and they have been discussed many times.
What does not get mentioned to often is the good stuff.
Yesterday i went to Fairview for the 1st time ever and i found a racecourse with facilities that can hold their own anywhere in the WORLD.
The food was POWER
The view was POWER
The service was POWER
The people were super friendly. I really had a great time. Thank YOU ALL
the only small issue i have is being FORCED to pose with the fucking RA banner but not allowed in the RA room....
but that was a very small inconvenience.

...not like July day racing at Greyville, I paid R17 a can Coke whilst raking out R35 for a Hotdog without any margerine or sauces (next to the parade ring) They saw us coming!

That's a steal when compared to the prices at the Disney on Ice show on Sunday...over R100 for popcorn and the same for cooldrink in branded containers...even a 340ml can of cooldrink was over R20...robbery...

The Thurs night betting world show that was supposed to be televised never occurred . Last years screening was extremely informative for the punters. They missed a big opportunity here. With all due respect to Kevin Shea and Warren Laffernas input for the VDj they don’t have the best track record . Sheldon Peters input on sat morning would have been most welcome but being absent on the panel was another bummer. Let’s hope that next years build up to the VDj has all the ingredients to keep us excited going into the big race. Cheers
