A lightly weighted horse alway peforms better - especially when it's MR has dropped 50 points in the last year - Back the Cat and smile - i'm sure we have a bet on it but i'd like to change my horse to the bidder(from P6) if i may - a Bottle of Chivas - Cat vs Bidder?

July: Obvious observations:

1. Not a 3yo in sight
2. All 4 fillies in the first 11
3. Eddington very last
4. Marwing must be smarting
5. Pocket Power can win in KZn
6. Hunting beat P6
7. Desert Links in top 1/4, let alone 1/2
8. PP = 2 Mets and a July...can't beat that
9. 6 of first 7 from the burden province

Great race imho.

Lloyd came very very close to repeating his 3rd place finish yet again.

If you watch a replay of the television broadcast see if you can spot the 'invisible horse' in the July. I am referring, of course, to Bound By Honour who - despite probably hitting the front at about the 200 metre mark - never merited a single mention in the home straight despite holding on to finish third.

He certainly got me out of my seat as I had R1,2 million to come if he arrived. I had to be consoled with what was left of my punt after the favourite dead heated and 'got me out' with a R70k profit.

Pocket Power a shoe in for Horse Of The Year. What odds....fill your boots.
Certainly the best horse in the country over 1800m to 2200. No doubt!

'Horse' of the Year PP - 'Filly' of the Year DD

'Overal' Champion?

I agree with Puffin - A Tie!

I think we all know who the best horse and best performing horse this season is. Taking nothing away from Justins charge, Pocket cannot be trumped this season.
Another pie and coke Puffin?
