Here's a little trip down memory lane

In the 1990 Natal Winter Season Illustrador was a revelation. I have never witnessed, and will never forget, a horse winning graded races from 1200m (Rupert Ellis Brown) to 3200m (Gold Cup), and taking in the Durban July along the way, in a matter of months.
I personally have never seen that versatility in Graded races before or after in any country.
