'' With the selections you make you only need 20% to win to make a nice profit on the nose.''

you making sense Adams,i need to correct by betting strategy

''my problem with exotics which is why I never play them is that I could never tolerate being right 5/6 times and still losing.''

its a hard pill to swallow but you cant go dutching five or six horses per race
Also when playind exotics like the bipot i like giving myself a chance to odds of 100/1 and upwards

Start off with a minimum stake and just for a few races back on the nose ---- R6 if you must, check how it goes - nothing beats the thrill of backing on the nose!

Today you had a high strike rate in the maidens - while no-one would seriously suggest playing favourites , the average maiden favourite wins more often than the general favourite - somewhere are 36 to 40%, if you only restrict to maidens and qualify the favourites that look good, with your strike rate today you would have made a good profit. Segment the maidens and handicaps, as those require a different strategy.

Nothing beats frequent winnings to keep the motivation and interest going.

Hi Adams & mydada

am just curious. What's your average spend per meeting. I am aware that some will be more than others however what is the average?

What's your idea of keeping the thread going?

Honestly daily threads are more painful to read lately. Too much clutter. Really too much.

You can get upset about it or appreciate my feedback. Just saying.

Thanks for the feedback about average spend.

Don't play every meeting but average is around 3 grand.

Not shooting you gents down. You do provide some valuable insight however page on page becomes a bit of strain.

Merely asked about average spend due to comments on each race. As a punter i cannot play every race daily.

3 grand..... wow :woohoo:

You say you're not shooting the guys down.....after emptying out your AK47 on them :)

It literally takes a second or two to scan a post and see if it interests you or not...if it doesn't, move on....after all, its the season to be merry ;)
