Unbeaten over 1600m and only the two occasions over 2000m
The eagle has beaten stonehenge and french navy over 2000m. There is no doubt about his ability.....the actual conditions of a race will also contribute to performances.....the fact that he ran second on both occassions...once behind whisky baron...suggests these were more about the race conditions than the horses ability.
Maybe you are right....maybe he is not best suited to that track....the future will be the judge.
Where have i said that Adams
Lol...you never said that....but a good horse like that losing twice on the track, raises a slight concern....that he might not be suited to that track for whatever reason

In my view Horizon must be really considered...as it ran from last to 6 in the July...running on and making up the most ground from a hopeless draw.....so he should be matured now and a real chance if tightened up.
African Night Sky - Bernard rides and always wins easy....I feel it has a lot in the tank and enjoys the cape track....like Edict of Nantes the best improved in the race category.
Edict of Nantes - Legal Eagle cannot beat this horse over 2000 m...in fact if the Green Point was a 1800 m race it would of went the other way....let's not forget this horse won the Daily News and was unlucky in July but still got within a head...and running on strongly in both the 1400 and 1600 races in his comeback. He is quietly going about his business and the style of running will catch a horse in the Kenilworth straight......only a mean draw or a slow release from the stalls will stop him from the top 2 finish.

On the conditions of the race he must be in the red.
Given his previous defeats and how far he was beaten and the weight he was giving. LE must be a shoe in.
If only it was that easy. That's my 2 bob

I feel the 10/1 on Marinaresco looks decent value. He disappointed in the last Cape Summer Season. A little in and out but will be 6 kgs better off with EON on the July run (I am sure EON has matured since then). He seems to be a horse for the big occasion, around 2/1 a first 4 makes him very decent EW value.
