Good luck to those participating in the comp but share your views nevertheless
The last is a tricky maiden over 2000m and plenty in with a chance
Siding with the Kruyer runner Golden Stiletto as she could be the next to win from the Angel's Trumpet race.Poor draw but will earn

I would be cautious especially at 6/10. Drier has had a few disappointments in the Cape so far. I am sure this run will be used to bring him on for bigger and better things. His class can well pull him through but I will be looking to beat him.

I have Zanadu turning out in the 17:40 2000m at Kenilworth. Here's what you need to know :
1.) She is fit & well. Her trainer expects her to be competitive.
2.) I asked her trainer to give her a short break after her last run as she had a number of outings in quick succession; so there is no need to be concerned about her non-appearance since September 27th.
3.) Jockey Fayd'herbe commented that she was still 'green & weak' after her last run. The 'green' has been there for all to see but the 'weak' comment was instructive.
4.) She only turned 4 on October 22nd so is still 6- 12 months away from maturity. This is important to note for a horse which we hope will stay 2 miles.
5.) I still regard 2000m as her absolute minimum distance to be effective. If they crawl we might be tapped for toe in the short straight.
6.) The Kenilworth 'old course' is not ideal for a long strider such as her. She fared much better last time out with the Durbanville run in of 600m.
Please be aware that I do not punt my own horses.
