you sure wont be racing at any of the tracks as those will have been sold to developers

Sure, the breeding industry would be decimated but, like the dogs’ and cocks’ shows, the owner will breed himself, or hire someone to breed for him, just for the thrill of it.

The point is that we must never underestimate the fact that Owners also punt. What would happen to turnovers if Owners all just raced for "the purse" and never had a bet ?

This is why we must look after Punters AND Owners. Balance. Think about it...
