Billy Silver. He's my first choice. Very highly regarded by AD and Bosch mentioned he would be looking for this sort of trip. We'll see if he's up to this class. I would go Dutch Phillip 2nd(even with the weight)

Just food for thought EYES WIDE OPEN is running on Saturday in the 3rd race over 1600 m - The reason being that he drew 35 out of 36 in the Noms so skipping this race . It is a Group 3 and with a 102 MR he would have carried top weight and giving weight all round off a terrible draw . He is a Group 1 winner already so my pick whatever happens in this race , the Cape Guineas at level weights is the goal . Looking forward to that day.

The best horse doesn't always win the race.

the past 5 or 6 seasons history has proved time and again that the kzn feature form of 2yos doesnt stand the test of time barring captain of all and to a lesser extent that horse of paul lafferty harry something..when you look at the top 3yos and olde horses of the past the likes of variety club jackson legal eagle pocket power igugu marinarasco william longsword etc none of them campaigned in natal as 2yos,,,,the group ones on july day for 2yos are now downgraded to grade 2s and if you look back at the other group ones for 2yos at scotsville on gilbeys day and gold cup day through the last 5 years the form doesnt stand up

True - But this is good trust me . Won the Group 1 or call it group 2 now on his 3rd start .

I like TAP O’ NOTH in the colts race just a pity its on the winter course I would be more confident , however when speaking to someone the other day :) and mentioning I fancied TAP O’ NOTH for the season his reply was you have to be joking EWO will play with him.

Seeing as there is a debate on this race, here's my sixpence.

I think in general the KZN 2 yo form doesn't really hold up in the Cape Season but that's probably due to many of the Cape Trainers not taking up some of their hopeful Guineas and Sales race horses up there when they think they would do better in time.
I think this year some of the KZN trainers actually have some competitive horses so wil be interesting to see if they can Buck the trend.

Billy Silver was very impressive at last start so if he is distance suited I expect a big race.
Tap o Noth and Cot Cambell look improvers but Dutch Phillip despite his mass I think is a genuine Guineas contender, and if stable reports him well would need inclusion.
