My Early views --

Race 1: First Crusade has plenty to recommend, if he will prefer the extra ground - will be very hard to beat.
Race 2: Roy's Marlin if he prefers the extra, will be the one to beat, has some speed.
Race 3: There is nothing to split Miss Brody, Silver Cent and Keep Your light On - Complexion changes if Gat Henshaw get's a run.

Race 1
I am hoping they all be running for minor money and Graduate wins for Alesh who has supported Kzn racing for a long time.Good man that

wrt the Kannemeyer runner personally cannot have him ahead of Taranaki who on a line to Vittorio has a length or more to find and i get the feeling we have not seen the best of the Drier runner yet

Taranaki is closely related to Master's Spirit and will be an anchor in all my bets

Race 2
Not even a saver from my side on Flamenco Flyer seeing she is related to the very ordinary Bandanna

Green Ice (Kileigh,Kelly Firth and Marriot),another owned by Alesh, looks a good thing as he ran just 1,75 off a feature entry Rockin Russian

Cannot find any to beat that

Race 3
Prett straightforward if you just take current form and the betting ie Keep Your Lights On and Storm Outgoing

Big money never won with those types and personally dont like them especially as this is just a 62 and they carry top mass. All it takes is one of the others to reproduce an earlier superior form and we all popped.

So what else is there?

My shortlist in order of preference

Astroman
From a stable that seems made up of problem horses this one is no exception as he has been reported coughing ,not striding out ,making respiratory noises and the occasional equipment fail

His earlier form
Narrowing that down to todays distance would be his run when just 2,5 behind Dreamuponadream carrying level weights at this track, his proximity to Master Of Mischief on two occasions and his win here beating Heptagon and Midnight Man.His last run was over a sprint and i feel hes near right when you look at that race comparing et al Percy Jackson
More likely to disappoint but leaving him out is a risk

restricting to just names as this could get tiresome :)

Caddy Master
Get Henshaw if he runs
Command To Conquer

IMO, food at the Durban View Room hasn't been great for ages...When last has their menu "surprised" anyone....same old ...same old.....

Bit of a miserable day weather wise at the moment...Don't think too many people are going to be rushing to the course.
