Race 1
Paul Peter
No 11 Corrido is a very nice horse, big individual, should be looking
for a lot further but should not be out of the placings. (**NB prior to Hard Ball Scratching)
Race 2
Barend Botes
No 2 Seven Sovereigns does not jump on terms but if he does he must
have a chance.
Grant Maroun
No 4 Singaswewin has a place chance,
Clint Binda
No 10 Altruist battled on debut.
No 14
2nd Race Seventh Son has been very disappointing, I expected a lot more
from him. I have changed a few things and I am hoping for a better
run.
Brian Wiid
No 13 National Aim is a nice horse but is likely to find this distance
a bit short.
Race 3
Clint Binda
No 1 Of The Moon is battling to win but could run a place.
Candice Dawson
No 13 Western Shamrock is working well and hopefully has made the
necessary improvement.
Race 4
Brian Wiid
No 1 Soldat must have a chance in this line-up.
Mathew de Kock for Mike de Kock
No 8 Mutawaary should enjoy the extra distance and I am hoping for a better run.
Race 5
Tim Woodruff for Geoff Woodruff
No 1 Banner Hill is having his first run for the yard and could need
the run but he is full of class.
Mathew de Kock for Mike de Kock
No 6 Kilrain is in a good space and another big run can be expected.
Race 6
Craig Mayhew
No 11 Samar is coming off a short break and may just need the run.
Race 7
Candice Dawson
No 2 Polly Wolly Doodle is running over a distance short of her best
distance but is well within herself and as long as there is a little
give in the ground she should hopefully be running at them.
Barend Botes
No 7 Goodness Me is my best runner on the day. She is up in class but
has improved with Blinkers.
Grant Maroun
No 8 Prosperity has a good each-way chance.
Race 8
Grant Maroun
No 2 Great Shaka has a good place chance.
Clint Binda
No 4 Wellspring is always in with a chance.
Barend Botes.
No 9 Hunting Owl is unreliable but can surprise if showing his best side.
Craig Mayhew
No 10 Heywot is coming back from a little break but I am expecting
him to race fresh.
My each way treble:
2nd Race: Seventh Son
3rd Race: Western Shamrock
5th Race: Kilrain
120/1 Win treble :woohoo:
17/1 Place Treble

On review....if the weather holds i will take a bet on red indy. I am going to factor in short and sweet somewhere in one or other type of bet.
If red indy works out i will have a half a go at seven sovereigns, if that works out i will play onto shamrock....and then stop....or stop after the first negative result.

Quick Memory Jog, Remember what FLYING WINGER did in a 3 YO - 94 handicap on Tuesday? Well look hard at CYRUS in the first @ Vaal today. Debut behind flying winger over 1160 running on.... Today Hewitson over 1400. That's my idea of a bet for the day each way 8/1. Lets hope the rains hold off enough to get the meeting going
