TT for R80 a month is great value IMO. Replay shows, replay form/ finishes, watch almost live on phone, listen options. Happy customer.

Re: Tellytrack Fees
7 years 9 months ago.....yes I was a subscriber but the installation of the special aerial and convertors cost more than a M-Net decoder in the day....it excluded many because of the costs....bayern wrote: Remember IGN, there was a R 50.00 monthly subscription to view horse racing which was independent of the monthly M-Net subscription, this would have been 1994/5 thereabouts.
however when true satellite through DSTV was introduced the PTB saw this as an opportunity to add IGN/TT to the bouquet FOC to get bigger participation in telephone betting as online betting was not yet available....now it is looking to "tax" the haves the life blood of online betting by trying to get them to subscribe.....in the days of IGN there was growth in the industry but non existent service and poor management have led to a decline in online gaming through the TAB.....the ones that are die hard will be squeezed until they are dead....

R80 might seem cheap and it is well worth it. It's the data that you need to access Tellytrack is the costly part.

....if the PTB at TT got really smart.....they should reward the die hard tote punter with a free subscription if they have active TAB accounts...or accounts with the operators other betting partners.........having gatvol customers pay for their mediocre product will surely cost them and the industry and continue the downhill slide to total demise..... :S

If you smoke and they double the price of a packet you will still buy it
If you drink whiskey and they double the price of a bottle you will still buy it
If you love watching the races you will pay whatever it costs
They know the weakness and they prey on it and suck every penny out of you. Thats the world we live in.

But if Lexington is the only brand many would simply quit
If you drink whiskey and they double the price of a bottle you will still buy it
....and if Knights Watch was the only brand around some may turn to brandy
.....in a nutshell....if the product is not presented properly or is largely not up to scratch.....you can easily get "un-hooked" or find some other fix.... :S

Yes the installation was a killer.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

if they take horseracing off the dstv bouquet i and many other punters will simply stop playing horses and bet on football which is on the boquet.it is simple, they will lose many punters who can't be bothered to pay for a service to promote there product, which is horseracing and they will hasten the demise of horseracing in this country.

Re: Tellytrack Fees
7 years 9 months ago.....Telkom standard ADSL is not enough for even my week end online punting and midweek afterhours form/pedigree studying and streaming UTUBE racing video. I eat through my 10MB in 3 weeks and then switch to back up 3G data and still exceed by 2-3MB/month at R300-400 extra.....still waiting for decent fibre.... :Smydada wrote: waiting on telkom to install adsl i think for wifi and then i will end dstv and go on tellytrack

Re: Tellytrack Fees
7 years 9 months ago....I have uncapped ADSL in the office.....so shit cannot stream anything without "oh mother buffer" every 2nd minute.....ADSL is a DODO.....and like what TT are trying to do....starve the satellite viewer to pay for a sub.....Telkom choke ADSL to get a move to fibre.....at a bigger cost.... :ohmy:mydada wrote:Muhtiman wrote:.....Telkom standard ADSL is not enough for even my week end online punting and midweek afterhours form/pedigree studying and streaming UTUBE racing video.
