As stated - the next time he stepped out he would be ready --- R13.00 on the tote if you played. - Put away some of the top horses in the country , under top weight, with consummate ease just emerged from the pack and left them behind --- will get better.

I wouldn't get too excited about beating that poor Charity Mile field.

When building a career @ stud , what counts is graded race success - no one really going to be looking back at the fields --- all they will see is Multiple Graded Race winner , winning Gr1 by 16 lengths. racing off a merit rating of 113 , and doing so with accomplishment --- perhaps we shouldn't get excited, but I doubt that horse was cherry ripe in winning that race.
It's amazing how much can be read into a horses victory and career path - wins a grade 2 race and lamentations about the poor quality of the field --- how do we arrive at the conclusion that this was a weak field as far as Grade 2's go? French Navy has raced off 115 rating, and been less than 3 lengths behind Legal Eagle, are we assuming this was the horses final goal - to win a grade 2 --- watch the space, the horse has bigger fish to fry!
2nd run in the country and the horse picks up a R625000 pay check ---moving into 4th place on the earnings list for the season ---- not hard to spot potential!

......I believe that a big exaggeration is beginning to be misquoted about the Hat.....as he never won a graded race by 16 lengths.....also heard some over exited clown quote this on TV on Saturday.....the 2 grade 1 he won were on the video package and won by 2 and 5 lengths.....he may have won an earlier race....... maybe a maiden by the bigger margin......
