What excuse do the trainers have in Cape Town? 7 small races today in perfect going and one trainer saying he kept his horse in to keep the race alive.

Definitely poor fields Sylvester.I enjoy going to Greyville on a Friday night but haven't been in a month. The horses racing are really weak and it's just not fun to punt as anything can win.We just don't seem to have quality horses here in KZN,it only gets better when our season starts.

Used to really enjoy the Friday nights, struggle to watch now unless it's one of those T20 meetings

Really like them!

I used to religiously play Greyville Turf , since Polly have lost total interest , not sure why just inconsistent form , 12 horse fields , low races , to many maidens . I am not sure.

One of my good friends is now in his 70's and has served on many Boards in Racing and knows horses like the back of his hand , once had a conversation with me saying its the best surface for a horse to run on . His argument was around the way the hoof lands on the track and still swears by it.

Dean K. has had great success with the track , so although I don't like or agree with the track I find it hard to argue with them .

As for me I just cant read form there and the inconsistency just puts me off .
