Apart from the Eagle extremely poor entries for a race of this caliber.

Like Bob mentions, still plenty time for additional entries to be added which I sincerely hope will be the case.

take out Legal Eagle and u have a nice little Pinnacle Plate rather than a 4 million grade 1 race.

racing association just waste money on this race.

GRADE 1 Winners
FRENCH NAVY, Mac De Lago, It's My Turn, Juxtapose, Master Sabina
Multiple Grade 2 and 3 winners and Gr 1 placed
I'd love to race the field in Pinnacle Pates for a living!!!

Don't blame the RA for wasting money on this race, if the big Cape boys don't want to come race in JHB then it's their problem. Good on Snaith bringing It's My Turn. Would like to see the others follow suite!

Sorry if I keep harping about this strategy... Make the Computaform Sprint R4 bar and the Challenge R1bar. The coastal trainers WILL raid the sprint and they will bring their stable companions to raid the challenge. Turffies is the highveld and most keep talking about rarified air and so on. The Big T needs to be different to the Cape and KZN and cant keep following their strategies. The meeting needs a strategy change.

Good to see It's my Turn entered for this race, pity we don't see any of the Kannemeyer, Bass-Robinson, Kotzen or Crawford runners entered. KZN trainers, is their any worth mentioning besides Drier and Howells.

I wish JHB trainers would clean out Durbs this year to make a statement.

We always harp on SA Racing being in trouble etc etc, in order for SA racing to go forward and flourish and attract the crowds we need for all top trainers and jockeys to compete against each other when the big money is available, no matter where we race. This thing about Cape Town trainers skipping JHB for the so called "Champions Season" is utter rubbish, come up to JHB and bring your best. You are only the best if you have raced the competition in their own back yard.
