Lets be honest..many horses shortened when Bloomberg tipped them strongly. It happens almost every year. This years MET had many panel discussions, much of betting was probably influenced by selections. I think Nico probably had a bad day too. He was strong on Horizon and Gold Standard, also fancied Linekar. The panel discussion saved me..I got the last dbl through Vee Moodley and Darryl Maree selections in the last races....out with a decent profit,. it does work both ways!

I love listening to Darryl and Robert......but if i punt, it's my money, so i will decide if i agree or not. They not holding a gun to your head to listen to their perspective of the race and to bet on what they suggest! If i gamble, it's on my terms and i respect their views no matter what!
Thanks to the tipsters....it's a terrible job......and you do a great job imo!

100% spot on

The amount of money that these bozos cost the punter by opening there mouths is shocking. He was on TV literally giving guarantees in G1's from draw 20 for example, he was talking about his selections like it were a 6 time winner against a bunch of maidens that haven't won in 20 starts. Whoever invited him on the show to share his views should know that he is not the right person I don't care what type of expert tipster he thinks he is because he is shit. The whisperers race by race selections put Robert Bloomberg to sleep. So why isn't he on the show or a couple of professional form studiers/punters that can teach punters how to read form as well as give there selections.
The whisperer tipped 2/13 winners on Saturday. He was singing from the same hymn sheet as Bloomberg. My problem is that you KNOW that all those favourites aren't going to arrive so why not cast the net a bit wider. Only roughie selections came from Crawford - Bold Respect, Captain America places) and they were his own. There wasn't even 'if this favourite goes missing, look for x,y,z" it was just saying that favourites are going to romp home across the board. Poor.

This is really a stupid thread, but I'll say another thing. In past years...I have always send out my EARLY BIRD FANCIES on the Thursday before the BIG RACE DAY,but last year I've decided to change all that due to the unknown factors that is impossible to know beforehand. I would bet that guys like Robert would do 10-30% better on the day itself as than we know everything. The Only horses I send out early was LE and EON...coz both would've acted on soft or in a fast run races or even a crawl. Analysing races days before time is like studying for eexams with no clue what yougonna write abt. While the task may seem easy enough...its not at all. So hats of to those who 'PUT IT OUT THERE'

But you have mentioned before "Pace Makes the Race" so in essence you already have analyzed something the days prior as you await the day itself. Also you have noted that weights is nothing, pace is the key. Weather can change in minutes.
Your previous posting...
Went and looked for my notes on that race now...so let me try and HELP those who didn't even give DIFD the slightest of chances...Allow me to be an 'after the race merchant'
When it comes to 'finding winners' I 1st determine WHAT FACTORS WILL DETERMINE the outcome of the races today!I'm sure everybody does this to an certain extent, some less than others!
2 FACTORS I rate above all...
1)
First on the agenda is the Pen reading, track condition and WIND!!! Once this is established I know to a certain degree FROM WHERE horses will win today!!!
2)
We all have heard the saying...'PACE MAKES THE RACE'. In combination with the above, these 2 factors can be used with much success to determine from a where the horses will win on any given day/track!!!!
In that race...

Mighty harsh to have a go at Robert about his MET tipping.
Truth be TOLD ALL TIPSTERS had a Shit day. below is from the CItizen paper
Jack milner 1 / 13 7 %
BRENDAN GALLARD COMPUTERFORM 2 / 13 15 %
COMPUTERFORM 2 / 13 15 %
SPEED RATINGS COMPUTERFORM 2 / 13 15 %
Sowetan racing editor 0 /13 0 %
Daily sun racing editor 1 / 13 7%
SO out of 6 REGULAR TIPSTERS , 3 of them only tipped 2 winner's on the card.
THE ONLY OUTRIGHT FAVOURITE TO WIN WAS WILLIAM LONGSWORD.
so all in all a TOUGH DAY for ALL TIPSTERS an most PUNTERS.
although I backed captain swarovski , Edict of Nantes,William Longsword an Whisky baoron - I was a LOOSER ON THE DAY.
