i think trainers get a type of gold fever when an owner has to much money to spend on horses.
end up killing the goose sometimes

Sylvester

Michael Azzie has behaved nothing short of professionally with regards to this matter and this owner. No goose has been killed by anyone in the game.

This is a very sad state of affairs but it has nothing to do with Michael.

I jus hope that all this BS is resolved and this horse bounces back soon. In the end the horse and the punters suffer.

I agree ,I hope all the talk that he is "broken" is temporary and he can return to soundness -
He won the triple crown,he then "won" the July at WFA conditions so his only disappointment to date is in fact the Queens Plate so lets hope he can return to being a top performer!

Good horseman who seen Abashiri in the ring before the Plate said he looked in fine physically, but didn't look a happy horse ( quiet etc )

If he were mine I would send him to Mike Stewart who is magic with unsound unhappy horses and gets them to train on as older horses... let him enjoy the sea and build him up to a crack at the Met next year

No point to stay in the Cape, sure if they can they head back to JHB for the end of their season, and if he's not ready, spelling farm for the new season ?
