I did not see the race so cant comment but can i just add this. If a horse falls whilst jumping a hurdle or fence in a jumps race and the jockey dies will the person(s) erecting that hurdle/fence be prosecuted. I doubt very much if there was any intention by the jockey but if those in charge viewed it as such then only a two week suspension is scandolous

example is abit off topic, we not saying the person who sets up the false rails or such,
we talking about jockey, who by sheer ignorance or mistake, whatever or however you wana see it, really messed up. therefore i agree with you and whoever is in charge for his suspension, a more harsh punishment should be inflicted to compensate.

The problem is that regulation needs to occur all the time (and we need to be concerned about it all the time).
This has been discussed often on the site and the truth is very few care until a horse or person is injured!
There was a similarly very dangerous move today in PE. Watch how Gould moves out and nearly brings down LA REBEL shortly after the start ........could have ended just as bad or worse.
The way to stop the serious results is to consistently regulate all transgressions and we are more likely to avoid the serious incidents!

to be fair.... corne is probably one of the weakest jockey in S.A.
I often find he got problems controlling the horse
100% sure it was a honest mistake but corne needs to improve his riding ability
as for Richard , got to feel for him as this is the second time he's come down with a horse , the last been the incident with Muzi yeni in which jet explorer was injured

Well for me Sporting Post are really scraping the barrel now days. They are more interested in arse creeping with directors and personalities on their birthdays than writing about more important racing issues. Not a word about this ??
