When my son was playing in the under13s they had a kid who was a foot taller and built like a man, even had a small beard. He had developed a lot earlier than the others and the other kids were scared, same in that video.
Now at under16s,the kid is the same size and the other lads have caught up in size and some are bigger. The kid is a substitute and barely gets a game.
Did notice that no opposition tried to tackle round he's legs, our coach would be going mad at the tackling or lack of.

A very interesting analogy here from the genius that is cnc

and again I'm siding with DTF (happening a lot lately)

Recently in a conversation with a former England player and Premiership Rugby coach we discussed this very topic.

He said in his experience this kid is being done a disservice because at this age steamrolling is easy. What Chris told me was as follows:

"as a coach it often easier to use this type of player to win games but the damage done to the lads behind is un measurable" " So when i coach i focus on tis lads technical skills ONLY, i don't allow him to run and bull doze, he needs to fit in with the teams technical ability because if he does not eventually they will all over take him. "

Takes a bold coach to "restrain" the obvious but i guess at that age and with them growing so much it makes sense.
