To stress gain... prinsloo had 16 runners, collected 3 stake cheques, so in theory 80% of his horse ran crap. for easy to even insinuate that munger pulled the horse is laughable and clueless. to focus on the betting market is even more laughable, some of the biggest bets and lays on racing in this country dont happen on exchanges, besides all day long professional punters will lay short price horses for wins and places as over time you will profit. one other point is that i personally dont think the trainers in kimberley know in which order their horses will run, its the theory of enter a RELAY TEAM and hope for a winner!

Since joining the Prinsloo yard the horse has run 16 times for 8 wins and 5 places with a net stake earning of just over 370K (in less than a year) the horse then runs 5 L off the winner and its time to move on???
Easy I hope that the red mist has now settled and sanity will prevail with regards to the venom that was thrown at Ryan (who has a great record on the horse) as Im afraid that if you feel taking Ryan off the horse and/or moving to another stable is justified then there will not be too many people putting up their hands to have the horse in their yard nor in a hurry to ride for you, no matter how good the horse may be.
Being upset that the horse ran below par is understandable but your response was unfair, uncalled for and way Over The Top, surely an apology is in order? You have Ryan's number...time to do the right thing..

I think Blueyonder is referring to Patel riding this horse unplaced and then "being mocked off"
THIS is NOT the case, FACT is when it ran unplaced i even came on here and explained that the shoe had come half off and bent under his hoof. Go check that thread.
Patel stopped riding because he stopped calling. Simple as that.
and my role in this game and in this syndicate is to handicap our horses and choose races and talk with clients ….. we have many many new owners and this type of bollocks is NO GOOD
If Tienie says "horse is lame" then this thread does NOT exist
If Munger pulls the horse out the race because he feels something untoward then this thread does NOT exists EVEN if something isNOT found
BUT when a horse with pace or can be dropped in. Jumps from stall gate 2 and ends up 25 lengths behind the leader then something is not so lekker
Let's get some fact correct before another young riders career is damaged
Patel's baby boy was very ill and died at a month old
Patel refused your offer to be his agent, for financial reasons in his troubled times
Since then Mr Prinsloo has dumped him and won't answer his calls

This keeps going…..
so a few more replies
1: had i kept quiet like many do
1:1 i would not have found out about the AHS
1:2 i would not have found out that the default setting (lame off fore)
NO DOUBT that if I/We as owners of the horse are kept in the dark then what chance do the public have.
Now onto Patel 1stly condolences to him and his family. When he 1st rode we liked the kid. this was before he became a parent. We did struggle to get hold of him. Once we got hold of him I spoke to him. I wished him well and we spoke about the future and the fact that even though I THOUGHT he had a bright future.
So after speaking i sent him a mail, yes offering to do his rides FOR FREE. If you want ill post the mail. Let me tell you about doing his or anyone else's rides for free.
I would have cost me over £500 a month.

Completely and utterly untrue as far as Tienie "Dumping" Nicholas is concerned (not sure about the agent request) but Callan Murray was employed as the stable jockey along with Craig Zackey and later Ryan joined the yard..had absolutely nothing to do with easy, was simply a business decision taken between owners and the stable, this was explained to Nicholas who then rode at 1 meeting for Bill Human and stopped travelling to Kimberly...

Here is MY offer to Nicholas.
Its a genuine offer of trying to get a young guy off the starting blocks.
Good talking to you this morning. I firmly believe that through shear had work and determination you can become a top jockey (stakes/wins). As you know its a tough and cruel game. The last ting i want you to think is that I would be representing you for the money. Ill cut right to the chase, earning in pounds prices me right out. If i "earned" R100k from you in commission its the same to me as £5000 and frankly I just placed £2500 on the draw in the England v Sri Lanka test match.
So why do this you might ask, well i believe that you or any jockey/sportsman for that matter with the right person and team behind them can become successful. The legend that was A P McCoy is famous for a few things, what a lot of people don't know is he ONLY rode. Everything else and i mean everything else was done by others.
We not there yet. BUT I'm willing to do something for you and my reasons are these:
1: I like the way your rode/ride our horse.
2: I like that you said you would listen
3: I like that you have a young family and want the best for them.
So in brief (and very brief as i would want this done by a lawyer)
1: No drink (1 strike with me)
2: No drugs (1 strike with me)
3: Ride work where ever I book you ( we will run a diary to allow for birthdays and other important days
4: You save your money i.e. don't start driving a sports-car
5: Our contract is for LIFE, if you want out you gonna have to pay.
6: Ill do your rides for 2 years for FREE but i want 10% of stakes earnings
7: We talk every day good bad or indifferent.
8: If you are suspended then i will book you to ride work either in the UK or USA during your suspension (thats why you need to save money)
9: We work out the most cost efficient way of travel booking etc. (it might pay for us to control your diary and book flights same time) this helps as sometime you riding and i can't talk to you but have secured 5 rides in Cape Town and by booking the ticket for you (you save)
10: Courteous at all times to our clients (trainers)
11: Once you start riding winners and people start talking KAK in your ear you always remember where this started.
12: This season you have 56 rides. By increasing that to over 400 in year 1 and over 600 in year 2 your buy out will be agreed mutually prior to signing contract. In other words if I book these rides for free then I must be worth something. What i am trying to avoid is poison. I do the hard graft for 2 years and then a family member takes over (happens in all sport)
13: Ill ONLY ever represent you. I don't believe one can represent 2 jockeys properly.
14: You trust me to have your best interests at heart which in the medium term will include leaving SA and riding in the USA (best for you and family)
That's it for now, I am sure i will think of other things and you will have questions. I watch all SA racing and Skype makes the calls cheap. So I'm comfortable with me end.

Easy, honestly why stick the above post on an open forum? You have dug a huge hole for yourself and the best way to get out of it is to stop trying to justify yourself. Fair enough you have apologised to the parties concerned but you must now stop. By the way why would you place 2.5 k on England drawing with Sri Lanka? as they don't play each other for at least another 3 years

Re: Ryan Munger

chicken for the umpteenth time go away
England played Sri lanka JUNE this year. That is when i communicated with Patel.
My offer to him is a solid one. He does not get many rides and i was/ am confident that with an agent his rides would increase 10 fold (and his basic earnings as well)
A common mistake by sportsmen and jockeys is COST of agents / managers BUT the fact is without someone helping you the struggle is huge especially in SA.

also how my offer can be seen as anything but in his favour is mind boggling.
