"Group" RESULTS - 'Sunday' 1st June Workings..
17 years 1 week ago
Afternoon,
This afternoon completed and went as follows....
The 1st runner we wanted 2.2, and with being around 2.36 on arrival and then dropping down to us and beyond (went odds on), we had a lay at 2.2 max. The gamble was landed, so the way it goes. Traders easily got their trade back prices in running, so got away with it...
The 2nd runner we wanted 3.45, but a non runner and 3.8% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 3.36 (3.35 nearest exchange price). The price had drifted to around 3.85 on arrival and never came back down to us, so race to race players had to avoid the race. The runner was beaten and so the drift beat race to racers to the punch. Grr! Early traders happy though....
The 3rd runner we wanted 2.7, but a non runner and 6.4% reduction meant we now wanted a lay price of 2.59. There was then another non runner and further 5.9% reduction, so now we wanted a lay price of 2.5. The price had drifted to around 2.58 on arrival and then came down to us and beyond, so we had a lay at 2.5 max. The lay was beaten and so a good result........
The 4th runner we wanted 2.9, and with being a well supported 2.58 on arrival, we had a lay at 2.58. The lay was beaten and so a good result.......
The 5th runner we wanted 3.0, and with being that and slightly shorter on arrival, we had a lay at 3.0 max. The price then drifted out to our own price of 3.3 and beyond, so a chance for traders and builders to have a 'free' lay. The lay/trade was beaten and so a good result........
The 6th runner we wanted 3.0, and with being around 2.84 on arrival, we had a lay at around 2.84. The price then drifted out to our own price of 3.3 and beyond, so another chance for traders and builders to have a 'free' lay. The lay/trade went and won a battle, so the way it goes, but glad of the 'free' lay now..........
The 7th and final runner we wanted 3.3, and with drifting to around 3.65 on arrival and only getting bigger, race to race players had to avoid the race. The runner went and won, so glad of the drift and a good leave.......
WELL PLAYED/BATTLED..........
'Rolling' strategy/target players (no 'free' lays for them) Won 1 target.............They started their 1st strategy/target on the 1st runner, and after a poor start they hit back with a few good lays to get the wages on their 4th lay (the 5th runner), and so they win 1 target on the session...
'Bank building' strategy/target players had their 1st lay (the 1st runner) at 2.2 max, but a poor result see them go behind early...........They then had their 2nd lay (the 3rd runner) at 2.5 max, and a good result see them win a chunk back.........They then had their 3rd lay (the 4th runner) at 2.58, and a good result see them break level, and with 4 runner builders being level with only one potential lay left, it's always advised to walk away with no room at all for error now. So they finish level..........
5 runner builders played on, as then came a 'free' lay (the 5th runner) that bought a tiny profit.............Then another 'free' lay (the 6th runner) that only bought relief this time..........That's where they ended it, so they win 0.2 of a target on the session....
Bank builder 4 runner strategy/target. £400 bank. Max 25% target £100
1st lay £100 to win as much of the £100 target @ 2.2 max. Result negative. Lose £100
Total bank now £300
2nd lay £100 to recoup as much of the £100 @ 2.5 max. Result positive. Win £66
Total bank now £366
3rd lay £183 to recoup the £34 @ 2.58. Result positive. Win £34
Total bank now £400
So with being level and only one potential lay left, there's no room at all for error now, so always advised to take the levels and walk.
Overall result. Level.

Total bank now £373

Total bank now £400

Total bank now £420

Total bank remains £420
That's where they ended it.
Overall result. Win 0.2 of a target.

Traders either won, or broke level on all their trades, so they did a good job, and well played guys...
So a tough start didn't help (never does), but pleased to say we bounced back in decent style to either land the wages, or break level, so well played guys and nice to bounce back from yesterday. Builders will feel a little hard done by with the drifts etc, but after yesterday and all those winning favourite's, I'm sure they'll settle for it! Have a good evening and speak in the morning...
Marc.

Morning,
The start of another month then, and let's hope it's a little more lenient than last month! The races, runners, and prices, to work around for this afternoon then, as follows..
2.20 Perth. RECOVERY MAN (2.36)
Our price 6/4 (2.5) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 2.2 or under, we'll go in for a lay.
2.50 Perth. MEDIA MAN (3.5)
Our price 11/4 (3.75) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 3.45 or under, we'll go in for a lay. *Traders be aware that he has a tendency to lead, or race very prominently in his races*
3.20 Perth. ANOTHER AMBITION (3.1)
Our price 2/1 (3.0) and so no bets can be advised at current odds. If we see 2.7 or under, we'll go in for a lay.
3.40 Bath. ADORABELLA (2.74)
Our price 11/5 (3.2) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 2.9 or under.
4.20 Perth. PARADISE BAY (2.74)
Our price 23/10 (3.3) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 3.0 or under.
4.50 Perth. LOITA HILLS (2.
Our price 23/10 (3.3) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 3.0 or under.
5.20 Perth. PRESENT GESTURE (2.9)
Our price 13/5 (3.6) and so a LAY is the call at current odds. We'd lay up to 3.3 or under. *Please note that a 'little' more emphasis has gone on the early markets for clues, concerning this race*
All races priced up with non runners taken into account, up until 09:56am.
That's our work for this afternoon then. We cannot ever be confident after yesterday, but all priced up as normal and with 100% effort, so with having enough within our armoury to go into battle, let's hope the value wins the day as it certainly does over a period of time. Good luck and speak soon.
