Received this sms tonight:

"Kindly be informed that there is a Provincial Taxi Protest Action planned for Friday 10th June. Taxis plan to block all roads in and around Durban including preventing private vehicles from moving. Implications are that some employees & scholars will not get to their destinations. They are planning a complete shutdown. Action starts as early as 4am until Friday afternoon.

SAPS have asked Lt Col Tana to issue a press statement informing public. SAPS, Law Enforcement &Traffic will not allow such action and will tow away all vehicles blocking the roads." fwded message received from BCMM MMC Public Safety &Health :Cllr Helen Niele-May

No mention of it on the ECR blog and EThekwini Municipality FB page also no reference to it so could well be sick minds at work spreading stupid rumours...
